Review: [redacted] builds custom hand built Z scale electric model trains. He is retired and works from his [redacted] workshop. When I ordered a CP Rail SW900 switcher locomotive from him he did not have a [redacted] payment option available yet, so I paid with a personal check. I have a scanned copy of that check that can be attached to an e-mail. The date of the check is March [redacted] 2012. Made out for $555 dollars. I added a DCC option for $35 extra and $20 was for shipping. I was told the locomotive would take about 2-3 months for him to build it for me. Soon it was 8 months and still no locomotive. Finally he shipped it to me and when I got it ... it had running issues so [redacted] said send it back for repair. The DCC computer chip was removed and [redacted] sent me a $35 refund. Again he told me he would have the locomotive ready in 2-3 months. Again it took about 6-8 months. Again he shipped the locomotive back to me. Now it ran good. But after a couple of months the rear LED lamp was burning out. I contacted him. He said send it back to him and he would repair it. This time he said it would be about 1 month. It took 4-5 months and he tried to put a new motor arrangement inside of it and in doing so he damaged the brass body shell. When I got it back the body had a big crack in it and some paint scratched off. (I have photos) Plus the locomotive did not run good anymore. It was once again returned on 1/**/14. He told me he could have a new chassis and body built for me in only 1 month. I am still waiting for the repaired locomotive. On 4/**/14 he wrote this: [redacted] 4/**/14 1:25pm To [redacted] The loco is ready. It has run all the 2 last days with no problem. I change the belt for a new one and prepare the parcel to-morrow (tuesday). Sincerely [redacted]I e-mailed him back and asked for a tracking number. He had always given me one before. He did not answer me. Again I e-mailed for a tracking number. No answer. I asked him over and over for a tracking number but he would not answer.Desired Settlement: I asked him over and over for a refund since April **, 2014 but he would not answer my e-mails. I set up a new [redacted] e-mail and sent a fake e-mail to him asking about more information on his products and signed the e-mail [redacted]. He replyed within 24 hours to that e-mail so I know he is reading his emails. I have asked him about 5 times to send me my $500 refund to my [redacted] e-mail.
