[redacted] applied to rent a home from CAPS. When she applied, as is our process, she paid $50 to complete the application. This charge is to cover our cost of processing her application and running her credit report and background checks....

We processed her application and paid to order the reports. [redacted] is entitled to a copy of the credit and background reports we have on file if she desires to have them. Since these reports are confidential I do not think I should attach them with this report. Please contact me if you have any further questions.

I do not accept the response because the $50 is guaranteeing service. So they just kept my money and are saying that to pull a report is $50?? No it's a scam and they are very unprofessional. I tried to rent with them multiple times and then the property that I was initially interested in they said it accepted section 8 after flaking on me numerous times and denying me a refund and denying me to be able to talk to the owner they said that the property doesn't accept section 8 anymore. Section 8 doesn't even work like that. They totally ripped me off as well as others!

[redacted] is entitled to a copy of the reports that were processed. She may be able to use them when applying for other rental properties so they could be of some value to her. It was explained to her before she paid the $50 that the application fee was non-refundable. We do not think that we should return the money to her simply because she continues to complain. This is our policy. She did not have to attempt to rent one of our homes. This was her choice.
