Giant Bicycle, Inc. Reviews (2)

I was confirmed to have a crack in the frame of my Giant Defy bike that I purchased two years ago. The bike has never been crashed and well taken care of. Giant claims to have a lifetime warranty on the frame of their frames so my local bike shop submitted a claim with Giant. For over two weeks since submitting the claim, Giant has now claimed that the frame cannot be warrantied and has not stood by their warranty.

Review: Faulty parts and Very Bad customer service. The bikes front forks broke within the first hour after purchase returned to store to have them fix it. Returned two weeks later to have bike fixed again the bottom hanger was loose. Third time had to return to store bottom hanger broke along with derailleur breaking and pushing into spokes breaking off one spoke. I was called a liar and told I did something to the bike to make it break. I was told I crashed when looking at the bike you could clearly tell I had not crashed everything else on bike was fine. The owner was not pleasant or helpful at all. I left without having them fix it. I contacted Giant directly. Was told the same thing that I must have crashed to have these things break. I was told that some people just are not meant to have such bikes and I would be better off buying a cheap bike at a big box store. I was told to go to any Giant dealer to have them fix it under warranty. I went to Epic Bike and had them fix it. Had to dish out more money nothing is ever completely covered under the warranty. The bottom hanger has since broke several more times. Accused again of damaging the bike.I contacted Giant again and after much discussion was told Giant would replace the bad parts but I had to pay labor. I was told again get this bike fixed and sell it because some people just are not meant to have a bike like the one I had purchased and I needed to buy a cheap bike. The bike was fixed and the owner at Epic told me He hoped to never see me again. He also told me to sell my Giant bike and be done with it. The new bottom hanger lasted two weeks and the derailleur is also broke again. I went back to Epic to trade this bike in and he told me to sell it on Craigslist cause he would only maybe give me 200 dollars for it. Not one person I have dealt with has believed me or been pleasant to talk to. I was told they cant believe or trust me because I could leave the store with the bike and throw it off the top of a building and want a new bike WHAT?Desired Settlement: I would like to return my bike for full refund
