We responded to a call about leaking toilet in the basement of Mr*** ***Upon arrival the tech ( *** ***) determined that it was coming from beneath the toilet*** then decided to change the wax ring because usually that solves the issue and it's the least invasiveFlushing the toilet
several times to test out the newly replaced wax ringMr*** was confident to say that the job was completedIt was about minutes after he left that Mr*** had called back saying it was still leaking, so *** returned to the job and looked around in more depthHe then went behind the bathroom in an access room for the pump that controls the bathroomThe pump undoubtly was installed incorrectly by the previous owners and *** wanted to bring the owner (Tim ***) into look at it before he would consider fixing itIn the Commonwealth of Massachusetts once you touch something that is existing weather it is legally installed or not, you assume all responsibilityA few days later Tim *** then came back with his helper to look at the problemThe pump that was responsible for discharging the water from the bathroom was not set properly, meaning the float inside the tank that controls the pump to turn on and off was to highThis causes the water to rise to high and leak from under the toilet causing a leakTim told this to Mr***, he needed to get his whole system rectifiedMr*** did not seem to interested in fixing the entire problem due to the costSo at this point there is nothing else that would have to be doneThe $was for the service call and the cost of material used to try and fix this first problem upon the first visitWe at Timothy *** plumbing and heating are not in competition with *** *** or any other home improvement warehousesThe products we install are to the highest quality we can findWe apologize that Mr*** is not happy with our servicesWe take pride in our exceptional and prompt service that has kept us in business for over years

Dear Mr***,You bring your car to a mechanic because itwon’t start. If the mechanic looked atit, replaced the alternator and charged you for part and labor yet the carstill won’t start, wouldn’t you held him responsible for replacing your good workingalternator if he later claimed that the starter is the problem?If you need surgery on your left knee andthe doctor carried out the operation on your right knee instead, wouldn’t it bea problem?Our complaint remained that your (licensed?certified?) technician had improperly diagnosed the problem and your companyhas charged us for part and labor which was incorrectly placed and our problemstill remained In respond to your comments:1)“*** then decided to change the waxring because usually that solves the issue and it's the least invasive”. Our expectation for a certified plumber isto be able to correctly identify the issue and to provide correspondingconsultation instead of a quick fix. Is*** who you have sent to the job certified and up to date with histraining? Would you be able to satisfyour question by providing documentation proof of his in good standing certificationat the time that he was attending to our work?2)“Mr*** did not seem to interested infixing the entire problem due to the costSo at this point there is nothingelse that would have to be done”. Did you not promised us that you would findout about the pump’s model, order number, and price when you returned to youroffice? Instead you never get back to usand after our attempts to reach out to you did you not apologized that you had “droppedthe ball” on us? Did you not promise us thatyou will get back to us first thing only to disappear once again until the timethis complaint was filed?3)“We take pride in our exceptional andprompt service”. During our conversation when you were onsite my two young children (years old and years old) were there with us. Did you honestly not remember and would denythat I was worried and concerned as you mentioned about the ventilation that wouldbe bad for our health? Did I not pursuefor your recommendation of how to have the problem fixed? Did you not promised and assured us that youwill have thing figured out on your return and to also help us to look at themixing valve? Would you in your good conscience considerthe fact that you have charged us for your service where the problem remainedand “dropped the ball” on us time after time after the fact that you have toldus about the posting health risk exceptional and prompt service???
