I have several homes and have moved things back and forth many, many times
I met the salesmen from Gibraltar and he seemed like a nice guy and gave us a $2,estimate after coming to the house and seeing what we wanted to move things from ** to *** I paid a $1,cash deposit and was told the rest would be due on delivery
Once their people got here, the story changed The men showed up without a 10-foot ladder that was specified on the invoice and then told me the difficulty of moving the high painting and having to box up a Tivo, a receiver a tower computer and monitors would exceed my "estimate" by at least $and that the job would probably be $1,more but they then refused to put a cap on the charges
They put me on the phone with the "manager" (yes, like a sleazy car dealership) who told me I'd better agree to pay them or he would pull his men off the job I did not agree to pay them and he told his men to leave but they also took all the contract forms from my kitchen table
Fortunately, I had one left that shows I made the deposit
When I called to see about getting the deposit back (only minutes after they arrived) the manager said they could only give me a partial deposit back because of the time the men had spent on the job Note that not one thing was moved and their whole "job" was to try to get me to pay them more money
I'm not sure if this business is solely a bait and switch operation so I'd be curious to hear from others if they also feel they were ripped off - perhaps we can put together a class action suit if that is the case
I will update as this progresses - the last thing the manager said was that he would not return the cash so I'd better get a lawyer That was my next call, of course!

I would like to tell you that you have first class employes, they packaged our furniture very carefully and fast and in [redacted] we couldn't ask for better service in delivering.
They were very corteous and acommodating placing each item in the rooms as we asked.
We will be sure to recomend you to anyone who asks for our opinion and experience with your Co.

Review: We hired the services of this company to move our personal items (furnitures, electrodomestics, clothes, books, etc.) to Florida and we are missing the following items: Cloth Steamer, one stand for a Tiffany lamp, one slow cooker, coffee maker, toaster. The Manager of this Montclair Office confirmed they have these items on their list but these were not delivered. However we submitted a claim form to this company detailing the items not received, the manager declined our claim.Desired Settlement: To deliver the entire merchandise/items and pay for the loss of any item since we paid insurance for this merchandise.
