Review: On Friday December 13th I ordered online a jacket from Gibson & Barnes aka Flight Suits of [redacted] El Cajon, CA 92020. This was placed on my [redacted] Card

1. GB-1/A Jacket Tag No.[redacted] Size: Men's Size: X-Large Regular Color: Khaki.

Order confirmation #[redacted]. $50.15 plus 18.75 for the shipping grand total $68.19

Regular price $128.00 for the coat.

On December 17th I received a call from a representative from Gibson and Barnes and told that the coat I ordered had been sold to someone else even though I had been issue the confirmation number order of the jacket and it was taken off line the moment I placed the order. I was further told that the only other one that they had available to the configuration of mine was one that was a extra large tall but everything else was the same.

I was concerned about this jacket being a tall but was told that there was no extra sleeve length added to the extra large size just more width to the midsection. When I was asked what my height, weight and sleeve length was I was told that the extra large tall would be fine.

The jacket arrived on Monday December 23rd and had Velcro sewn to the chest, also the jacket fits so long the zipper is even with the crotch of my pants. I immediately called Gibson and Barnes and advised them what the situation was. This jacket was not the same configuration of the one that I originally ordered plus the length was wrong. The representative that I was talking to told me that the extra large size also carried a longer sleeve length and with the combination of the TALL made it un wearable. I explained to her I was not originally told that, also I told that I would get a full refund of $68.90 which included the 18.75 for the shipping. I was advised I would be emailed later that day a pre paid shipping label.

As of this date I have yet to receive any return shipping label nor heard from this company.

It should be noted this jacket has a regular price of $128.00. and was on sale with limited quantities available. Because of the length of time to ship the jacket and arrival date there were no substitutes available for me to purchase at the sale price at the time when I called the customer representative on December 23rd.Desired Settlement: Proper Replacement for same purchase price. Or full refund

I have called Mr. [redacted] several times to resolve this matter but have been unable to reach him. We would gladly honor the clearance price for a new jacket or give him a full refund including freight if he chooses. Our clearance system usually takes items off the site in real time. Sometimes we do have issues with this function and we have to have them manually removed by our web designer. In these instances our policy is to honor the order and either remake a new version or to send them something comparable. It looks like on this order the comparable item was not in fact close to what he had ordered. I spoke to the sales rep that handled this mistake should not happen again.

Since we have not been successful in reaching Mr. [redacted] I will have a full refund issued to his card today. When I do speak to him I will give him the option to purchase a new jacket at the clearance price.
