Review: My father was in contract with Geibfrieds Interior & Exterior Remodeling (Reg/Lic# [redacted]to upgrade and remodel an existing deck - Composite Deck Boards & Railing. No permit were acquired, nor was it inspected. The service and product was not completed as per contract. home is in process of sale and deck has been deemed unsafe and requires repairs. Contractor verbally agreed, on multiple conversation, texts, and "said he spoke with the manufacturer, had manufacturer come and inspect product", at that time both agreed work needs to be done, and under warranty.However, when I asked for permit and inspection report he became verbal and now will not return our calls.Have reported him to Dept of Consumer Protection.Cost break down of contracted work to do.Material and Labor $14,092.00Debris Removal $ 200.00Permits $ 180.00 [redacted] never acquiredTOTAL $14,472.00[redacted]Desired Settlement: refund of full amount $14,472.00 so that we can have deck done appropriately and to code - this is an immediate need as I stated the house is in process of being sold.
