Like I stated in previous email. We replaced the engine with a used engine the customer supplied, which they were told had no warranty. The new parts we put on were the oil pump and power steering pump, which we stated we would warranty. Once we found out about this truck having issues we stated we would check it over. The customer was advised prior to them leaving with the truck not to take this truck on that long of a drive since we were not able to test drive it. We stated things may need to be tightened and fluids topped off. They both seemed to understand this but stated they still really needed the truck to help [redacted]'s parents move and we said only going like 30 miles or so would be fine. When we did towed it to our facility we noticed it was leaking transmission fluid and the ac pump was locked up. Which is why the truck wouldn't start. Neither of these things we installed. We noticed they put over 973 miles on this truck. When this truck left our facility nothing leaked from underneath. Also we let them have this truck before the bill was paid in full. We agreed on a payment plan and that we would keep the parts truck until invoice was paid in full. Final payment is scheduled to be paid July 29th. A total of $533.16 is due. Usually service facilities don't let any vehicles leave until invoice is paid in full. The customer stated they couldn't afford to pay us to fix this new issue the ac pump and we told them they could use the ac pump off the parts truck (since they own it) and that would save them money. As of today we aren't sure what they want to do. We haven't heard from them regarding this since [redacted] came and temporally fixed the transmission line by shortening up the rubber hose line. I feel we have been and are being very reasonable with this customer.

I am rejecting this response because: The bussines stated falsities on thier response. [redacted] Giefer didn't say he didn't want to work on it, he set up [redacted] to work on it not me.  When they drove the parts truck it was not to test drive it was to benefit Mr. Giefer's bussiness as they had driven it to another location to pick up another vehicle and left my vehicle at this other location overnight. I had a report that my vehicle was missing from Geifer Towing. When I called Mr. Giefer he told me that they can drive any vehicle in their lot as their insurance covers it. I told Mr. Giefer that they did not have permission to use my vehicle for his bussiness and that there isn't a shop out there that I know of who uses customer vehicles for thier own gain without permission from the customer. When we picked up our truck the mechanic who worked on it told us he test drove it about ten miles and it was fine, however when we talked to Mr. Giefer he told us that the truck was not test drove. We were never told to nor did we ever bring the truck back to confirm there was nothing wrong with the truck, or as Giefer said to double check. When [redacted] called Mr. Giefer from northern mn, Mr. Giefer stated that they will not be guarenteeing the parts or thier work and that there was nothing he was going to do about the vehicle leaking. We called Mr. Giefer 3 more times and finally Mr. Giefer said maybe someone at the garage will look at it. This was only after Mr. Giefer was informed of my facebook post. My facebook post asked for advice on a situation that I had no experience in. I did not mention Giefer Towing in my post nor did I state anything false. The fact that I have a daughter with Mr. Giefer has nothing to do with this incident. I originally brought the truck to Mr. Giefer because I trusted that I would not be taken advantage of, this however is not the case. I believe that Mr. Giefer is taking advantage of the situation because we have a common child and he does not believe that I would fight back for being wronged.

Well the information on this is incorrect. We were first contacted about this back in April when this truck broke down. We were contacted by [redacted] and her boyfriend [redacted]. [redacted] had just bought this diesel truck and only drove it 2 days before he blew the engine up. He stated...

the guy they bought it from seemed a little shady, a few gauges didn't work, things underneather carriage were calked, etc. [redacted] contacted us for the tow and asked us to work on it. We stated we would tow it but really didn't want to fix the motor. We asked her where would she like us to tow it to get it fixed. She stated bring it back to your shop and she will look around for quotes and a new motor. Then she contacted us because she couldn't find a motor. We gave her information on a used one but stated if she puts it a used motor in the truck no company will warranty the motor since it was used. She said ok. But then we told her she needed to find a place to install it. She found a private person named [redacted] and [redacted]'s brother [redacted] to install the motor but they didn't have a place to work on it. [redacted] asked if they could borrow our shop. We said sure we would help you out. The quote for $1,000.00 was from these gentleman. [redacted] and [redacted] worked on this truck for approximately 2 days messing with the undercarriage and other items on the truck. Then for some reason this [redacted] gentleman never returned [redacted]'s phone calls. She waited approximately 2 weeks for him. Continually calling our company asking us to work on truck since [redacted] wouldn't return phone calls from [redacted] or [redacted]. So finally we stated yes we would help her out since we felt bad that this gentleman just up and left. We stated it may cost a little more since we don't know what was all they touched and it may take awhile to get it in the shop since we were backed up on current jobs already. [redacted] paid us $500.00 before we started any work. We test drove the parts truck to make sure nothing leaked and motor ran good. Later that day we received a nasty phone call from [redacted] yelling stating we were not allowed to drive the trucks since there were no insurance. We said we will need to check things ok to make sure they were good. She didn't care. She stated not at all. [redacted] came and took the keys to both of the trucks and said when we need them we were to call her. About a week later [redacted] then gave us the key to the parts truck, so we could start working on truck that was around the 13th of June. We started with the parts truck by pulling that motor. We then pulled the bad motor out of the other truck. We put truck back together. In our shop and in our parking lot there were no leaks anywhere underneath. We did replace the oil pump and power steering pump per [redacted]'s request. On June 25th we called [redacted] stating the truck was finished and there finally bill was $1,033.16. She asked if they could do a payment plan on the remainder of the balance since they really needed the truck to help [redacted]'s parents move. They were moving 20 miles away. We thought perfect test run for this truck. We stated yes that will be fine but we want to parts truck left here until the balance is paid off. They both stated no problem. On June 30th they came to pick up fixed truck. [redacted] paid $500.00 towards the invoice. They stated they will pay the remainder July 29th. Only owing $533.13 left. When they came to the shop to pick up the truck [redacted] stated they want to drive this truck north of the cities which is approx. 400 miles one way. We stated we don't suggest that since [redacted] and [redacted] wouldn't let us test drive the truck to make sure there were no issues. They said everything should be ok. We said just using it to help move your parents would probably be perfect miles. They bring it back and we can double check to make sure no leaks, etc. We received a call from [redacted] on July 1st stating there was oil coming out of bottom of truck not sure from where. We said please bring back we will check it. That's when we were told they were up past Virginia MN like 400 pus miles away with this truck. We then reminded them we stated that wouldn't have been an ideal since we couldn't test drive after work was completed. They said they will deal with it. We stated  please bring it right to our shop when you get home on July 4th. (We did notice that the truck was at there home the evenings of July 4th through the 8th but not during the day so we figured [redacted] drove it to work). On June 9th we had people call us stating [redacted] put something negative on Face Book regarding us and our business. So we called her asking why didn't you bring us back truck we are willing to look at it. [redacted] stated she didn't have time. So on July 11th we towed the truck to our shop. Noticing there was a lot of transmission fluid under the truck it had a broken transmission line and the Air conditioning pump was locked up. Neither was what we previously worked on. We also noticed the mileage on this truck it left our shop with 117,912 and when we got it back t now has 118,885. So they put 973 miles on it Way more then we suggested. Again since we couldn't test drive it. We also told [redacted] we can take parts off their parts truck for the ac pump and would recommend a new belt and fix broken transmission line. She said she couldn't afford to fix it so [redacted] will come and fix it. About a week letter [redacted] came and fixed a rubber hose on the transmission by cutting it and shorting it . We said that is only temporary it has to much pressure for a rubber line. As of today we have yet to hear any more from them about it and the truck still sits here waiting to hear what they want to do. *I also wanted to let you know that we know [redacted] personally since she is the mother of my daughter and we have had an up/down relationship regarding the raising of our daughter.
