Review: I received treatment from Dr. [redacted] Chiropractic on 10/01/2015. The staff handling the billing stated I was required to pay a flat fee of $150.00 that day and it would be applied to my deductible. In pain and not wanting to argue, I paid the fee in full before I left.

I looked into matters a little more closely after going to anther Chiropractor and saw how their billing worked. Realizing, my billing was perhaps mishandled with Geis Chiropractic, I called asking for someone to go over my account with me to have it explained. The woman who spoke to me stated she was going on vacation the next day and did not have time to look into it. She stated, "If you had called maybe a couple days ago, I might have been able to help you".

I called back three times requesting a call back to have someone explain my billing and see if there may be a possible refund. I have never received a call back.

While on the line with to my insurance agent, the agent called Geis Chiropractic Office, and my agent stated that the woman I spoke to will have this resolved in 7-10 business days (it has now been two weeks later with nothing resolved). The woman at the chiropractor also stated, "I don't know when this became such a priority. I don't have time to be dealing with this right now".

What I learned from my insurance:

1. The total bill was $168.00 (Geis Chiropractic charged me $150.00 on the spot and said it was towards my deductible).

2. Amount actually applied to my deductible is $62.14.

3. It is a breach of contract between Geis and my insurance to bill me up front like they did.

As of 08/21/2016, I have called three times (7/11/16, 7/26/2016, and 08/05/2016) and never received a call back. Geis Chiropractic stated to my insurance agent this would be handled within 7-10 business days. Two weeks later and no resolve.Desired Settlement: I would like a call back and a refund of the amount I am due back.
