Review: My 3 year old daughter was just playing outside the store. Then she saw a toy umbrella and started playing with it. I decided to buy her the umbrella but the one she was playing was old and broken. Then, I asked the sales lady if there was a new one. No, she said, but she found a different one. We walked out the store and my daughter was happy carrying it. Although it was a different model from the one she tried, she was happy. However, I noticed she had difficulty closing the umbrella because it was spring loaded and very tight. The worst part was the trigger metal could pinch her finger and cause injury.

Then I went right back to the store within 3 minutes, the same lady was their. I explained to her that the umbrella was not for 3 year old kids. She only offered the broken umbrella my daughter had originally played with. I refused. She said if my daughter injure her finger, I could sue Hello Kitty (the brand of the umbrella) not the store.

She just refused to give me a refund in spite of the purchase happened just minutes ago.

She ignored the potential danger of the umbrella for a 3 year old.

This is just not right.Desired Settlement: Refund. They should show that they understand what they did was irresponsible and unethical.

4/18/14 I had left message to Mr. [redacted] to bring the umbrella back for exchange or will refund him the amount. I will let my employee know. Just to let you know mu umbrella not defective or broken we have a sign there no refund or exchange.

Talked to the owner and she seemed to understand the problem. She admitted the sales person did not handle the situation professionally.

Anyone should understand that "No Return" sign does not mean no immediate cancellation of the sales of toys not suitable for children. Refusing to cancel the sales and then telling the customer to sue the manufacturer if his child gets injured is just wrong.
