I cleaned and it happened. Before I clean it, I took out all the hooks attached to avoid possible damage. At that time I found the elastic stretches were old and stretched all out. That means it's quite old and possibly have been 'washed'...
before. I took extra care while cleaning and the damage was unavoidable because it is old and used too much. Car seats are used intensively on the same spot everyday and the hairs on it cannot but be damaged far sooner than a sheep skin rugs.

The conflict at hand has nothing to do with the stretched out straps on my real sheepskin covers. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my seat covers when I took them in to be cleaned. The straps were obviously going to stretch out over the years. He is suppose to be the professional; and never indicated there would be a problem so I was not worried. His negligence resulted in huge patches of missing hair and they need to make it right. They are very expensive seat covers and should last 8-10 years. My case number is XXXXXXXX

I just mentioned the stretched out straps to let you know that it was old enough that it could be damaged while cleaning. She herself said the straps can be stretched out over years. So the frequent use of that seat cover over years must have damaged the root of the hair before cleaning although it looks all right.
She says that the seat cover can last 8-10 years but that is what the manufacturer says for all their products while it can vary by each product and how it is used.
