The unit is yrs old not yrs oldAfter different techs gave different answers Ken called and talked with meMy wife had stopped the check for $to say nothing was wrong when another came out and said there is something wrong and it was still under warranty per that fixThey did not charge us $when the last tech came out so I don't see why we had to pay for something that was wrong when the tech said nothing was wrongThe last tech said our compressor was going out, that was the noise I was hearingDifferent response then the last tech "Nothing Wrong, That's How They Sound" Everyone is on the same page now that Ken called meI would say close this case and move on!

7/27/complaint response KEN MADDOX HVAC To whom it may concern in response to complaint by *** *** : Would first like to say, We here at Ken Maddox heating and air conditioning take pride in our services rendered
and our customer satisfactionIf we make a mistake we own it and we fix itjust as we did in this instanceWe went out to customer's home on 9/19/replaced a motor and fan bladeWe went back out on 6/3/and replaced fan and motor again under warranty.Due to incorrect installation which our tech owned and fixedMr*** fails to mention on 6/23/we went back out regarding a noise complaintWe met with Mrs*** and cycled AC several times.There was no unusual noise coming from the motor and fan we installedThe motor and fan are perfectly fineMrs*** made payment to us by check for labor which wasn't covered under warrantywe received a call on 7/6/regarding noiseWe returned on 7/7/met with Mr*** and clearly showed him that motor we installed was NOT the source of the noise he was hearing and complaining aboutMr***'s unit is years old and is way past it's life expectancyand due to age and condition we do not recommend any further repairs we recommend replacementMr*** was advised of the recommendation to replaceAfter having advised Mr*** of our recommendation the check payment was stopped and Revdex.com complaint was madeWe feel we have made many honest attempts to do GOOD BUSINESS with Mr*** as we do value all our customers business as well as their satisfaction. On 7/20/17, we provided hvac service for Mr*** ***, at his request, due to his A/C not coolingUpon inspection, our service technician found that the system was low on freonMr*** was advised that freon had leaked out of the system and pounds needed to be added, at a total charge for
service and materials of $Our service technician informed Mr*** that because the system was losing freon, it needed to be inspected for leaks, which would be a separate charge for laborMr*** approved the addition of freon but declined the leak inspection, stating he would have that done at a later timeOur service technician added pounds of freon, cycled the system, and was able to get the system to begin cooling properlyMr*** stated he was unable to pay at that time and would send in payment of $within the next few daysWe never received paymentOn 8/14/we contacted Mr***He stated he was unable to pay at that time due to financial hardship, and requested a payment arrangement of $per month until the account was paid in fullWe agreed to accept payments, but have not received anyWe have made several attempts to contact Mr*** to resolve this matter but we were unsuccessfulOn 1/16/18, we received a letter from Mr*** stating he is refusing to pay the balance owed because he was dissatisfied with our serviceIt is our position that we provided service and materials to Mr*** as agreed, and he is responsible for the balance due of $

As a courtesy to Mr. [redacted], we removed the $40 labor charge from his account. A message was left on 1/09/17 stating his balance with us was $0.00.   Mr. [redacted] contacted our after hours emergency response line on 12/21/17 to request a service call for no heat. Our technician arrived shortly...

thereafter and repaired the furnace to get the heat working again. The technician then advised Mr. [redacted] to contact the office during normal business hours in order to make an appointment forfurther repairs on his heat pump, as that is considered a non emergency repair.   Mr.[redacted] again contact our company the same day indicating he was very cold and without heat again and needed a technician to return immediately. An emergency response technician was again dispatched to Mr. [redacted] 's home and determined that he did in fact have heat and the fumace was operating properly. Mr. [redacted] requested that his heat pump be repaired at that time. Mr. [redacted] was again informed by the technician that because of the extremely cold temperatures we were attending to emergency no heat service calls first and that non emergency repairs were being scheduled later in the week.He again was advised to call the office to make a non emergency service appointment. An invoice was left with Mr. [redacted] indicating he would be charged $40 for the emergency return trip charge to his home.   Mr.[redacted] called our office 1/6/17 and indicated he was not paying for the second service call because we did not fix the heat pump as he requested. As a customer courtesy, the $40 emergency trip charge was removed from Mr. [redacted]s account. Mr. [redacted] was contacted on 1/09/17 and a voicemail was left indicating there was zero balance on his account.
