Dear Revdex.com,Do you ever read these complaints?  This customer admits to being an accessory toembezzlement.  IRS form 3949-A has beenfiled against the employee who asked to have a check written to his personalname.  Not only did she persuade him intowhat she thought was...

discounted work, she helped him to evade taxation.  It's people such as this customer that ishelping to put our nation in debt.  Shecalled a company, the company showed up in a well-marked company truck. The call was regarding an automatic swimming cleaner issue. She is on weekly service to have pool cleaned each week. A service call is $75,but when it involves an issue with the automatic pool cleaner, the work isdiscounted $40.  We do this to help outstaff that does the weekly visits.  Ifshe wrote the check properly, she would have had a credit to her account of$15.  The technicians are not allowed tocharge full price on these types of situations. What I don't understand about the situation, is why shechoose to purchase this device through a pool supply store and pay us toinstall it.  For automatic pool cleanerparts, our pricing is usually lower and it comes with free installation.  We recommended this device, the weeklyservice person could have easily installed this device as she has done beforeand there would not have been any charge. As for the 90 day service agreement, we held up our end ofthis agreement.  The customer is supposedto provide access to the pool, but this homeowner calls every week to want theexact time in which [redacted] will be showing up to do the pool.  [redacted] starts her day at 5:00 AM to avoid theheat.  Every pool is a differentsituation every week due to weather.  Wedon't expect our swimming pool cleaners to show up at an exact time nor has anyother customer in my 32 years of working on swimming pools. Yesterday, thecustomer finally told us that she has a dog she needs to put away and this iswhy she is calling.  When the customersigned up for service, they did not notify us of a situation with a dog.  If she would have told us of this situation,we either would have refused the service or noted the account so the serviceperson would know to call ahead of time prior to their arrival. In the 6 months of [redacted]'s employment she has not had any complaintsfrom any of her customers.  She has hadcustomers call and compliment her work, but not complain about it.  My office feels the cancellation is due tothe fact the homeowner is sexist and does not like the fact of a female doingthe weekly service. At this point, I feel the best way to handle this complaintfrom all that has transpired would be to file a complaint in small claims courtand let a judge decide on this decision. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Appendix B:  The company shows they have an invoice with the crack repair at $1070.00 and the invoice was written on 03/27/2015.  I never received this email and I would like them to provide proof this invoice was sent.  Also I have a picture of the pool being filled with water on 03/25/2015 which is two days before they drafted said invoice.  As stated in previous complaint the technician, [redacted], backed me into a corner with a thousand dollar bill and I agreed to much less then that and contacted the company to speak with the owner/manager about why their technician would charge me this amount.  Also the company failed to show their original quote for the crack repair which was $3,200.00 and supports my claim of a full refinish at $4057.00.  The company and their technician did not inform me of any costs before repairs were done, with the exception of the tile which I was verbally quoted at $150.00.
To summarize again:  I agreed to a complete pool refinish (with crack repair which was the entire reason the company was called) for $4051.20.  I was then charges an additional $1070.00 and then $648.80.  I contacted the company about my complaint and they are unwilling to work with their original quote. They have also provided proof that they did not send any invoices until after repairs were done.

To Whom It May Concern:There are a lot of details to this complaint, but the simplest way to explain our defense It to send the actual back and white copies of what was agreed to by [redacted].The technician did not measure the pool correctly adding fault, but that fault was absorbed at our...

expense. There was more internal area than what the technician measured. What [redacted]easured was an internal area of 807 but the actual internal area was 866. I don't know if Don had tried to change the shortage amount of $280.25 plus tax verbally, but it was never changed between the estimate and the invoice. With a swimming pool's surface, the surface would need stripped to see any underlying problems. Once these underlying problems are exposed, it was suggested to cut out the old steel and secure it with new steel for a longer lasting structure. In a situation such as this we point It out and leave it up to the homeowner as to better correct the problem or leave the old rusted out steel and simply cement over it.The question Is simple. Does a person want it patch underneath so they can have new issues 3 to 5 years down the line or would they like the issue resolved so it will lest 15 or more years. [redacted] agreed to resolve the issue while the surface was off not only verbally but also in writing.Attached are the original estimates marked with a letter A and S. [redacted] email marked with a letter C approving an even $4,700.00 to resurface the pool and replace the rusted out steel and redo the tile in the raised area. The final Invoice is mark with a letter D. The invoice was generated once [redacted] gave verbal permission. The written permission came the day after the invoice was generated.AS an outsider reading [redacted] complaint and gathering up all the facts, none of [redacted] numbers make any sense as to what his complaint is about. The only suggestion I have for this matter would be to take all evidence and file in small claims court so a judge can see the same thing I see. I have not called the receptionist or the technician. I've simply looked and the pages of the file.Kind Regards,[redacted]Gilbert Pool Services, LLC

Dear Revdex.com,The best way to handle this case would be for us to submit this through small claims court.  I am not sure why you are contacting us over this?  The approval for the amount was submitted to you in black and white.  We have found further information for civil court once we are completed in small claims.I will respond with a court case numberGilbert Pool Services, LLC
