Verbal response: Gilbert & Sons Roofing & Stucco Incstated the consumer hired them to come out and do an inspectionGilbert & Sons Roofing & Stucco Incspent an hour and a half on the consumers roofGilbert & Sons Roofing & Stucco Incwere not there for an
estimate, they did an inspection because the roof was leaking and prepared an inspection reportThe consumer was told they would provide an estimate to have the leak repaired and if the consumer accepted the estimate for a stucco cap, the $inspection fee would be waivedThe business owner advised the consumer where the leak was coming from and advised the consumer that because the consumer had painted his roof with a white UV paint, which covered the evidence of hail damage, it was not likely his insurance company would pay a claimThe consumer was charged for an inspection, which was completed in full with a prepared report as wellThe consumer is not due a refund. April 9, 2015 This letter is in response a claim that was reported to the Revdex.com by [redacted]. On February 14, 2015, I Anthony P[redacted], estimator of G[redacted] and Sons roofing and Stucco Inc. went out to conduct an estimate at Mr. [redacted] residence located at [redacted]...

[redacted]
[redacted]. Mr. [redacted] stated that he was interested in reroofing his home. An estimate was prepared regarding the work that would be entailed. Mr. [redacted]a agreed with the proposed estimate, therefore the contract was drawn up and signed. On March 4, 2014, owner Bob G[redacted] and I pulled a building permit to begin Mr. [redacted]’s roofing.  Mr. G[redacted] owner of the company was present at the time of the tear off process and assisted me on this project.  Mr. [redacted]’s home was prepared for decking and approved by the City of Deming inspector.  Mr. G[redacted] informed me that he had great communication with Mr. [redacted] and stated that he was satisfied with the work done on his home. I began supervising the roofing project on March 7, 2015. At this time, Mr. [redacted] complained about the stucco cap color in which he initially matched up himself. The cap color was signed off on before it had been applied.  On March 17, 2015 the roofing project had been complete, finalized, and passed inspection. After that time, Mr. [redacted] complained about tar coming out of the seams of the 90lb hot mop. At that time, Mr. [redacted] refused to pay the final payment in addition to asking for a discount. I refused his discount proposal due to the fact that everything performed in the contract had been abided and done to specification. I informed Mr. [redacted] that a lien could be applied to his home if he did not comply with the agreement/contract for payment that was signed upon. Mr. [redacted] was not happy with that statement and felt I was being disrespectful. It was not my intention to make Mr. [redacted] feel disrespected, but felt it was important to state the factual that could take place if not in compliance. I notified Mr. G[redacted] of the complaint so that he could explain to Mr. [redacted] that proper seal was necessary to prevent water damage and water leaks. Mr. G[redacted] asked if there had been any leaks due to the rain that occurred the previous day. Mr. [redacted] stated “No, I had no leaks.” Mr. G[redacted] informed him that if no leak had occurred, then the proper seal was performed. Mr. [redacted] asked if he could have a year supply of granules to the areas that looked black. Mr. G[redacted] explained that he had a 5 year warranty on roof workmanship that our company would not honor if any alterations were made. It appeared Mr. [redacted] was in agreement and understood what was explained. Mr. G[redacted] conducted the final inspection to address the situation and anything that may have needed change. Although not mentioned by Mr. [redacted], a stain on his driveway was found by Mr. G[redacted].  As courtesy, Mr. G[redacted] gave Mr. [redacted] a $500.00 discount so that he could get the stain removed from his driveway professionally. It was agreed upon that any further communication would be dealt with between himself and Mr. G[redacted]. That agreement of communication was broken later when Mr. [redacted] sent me a message via text stating “Ask the man to bring back his 6X8 redwood.” He stated it was on his property when he left his house on March 9th. He asked us to bring it back or replace it with a similar one. He again sent me a text the following day asking to return the block in the same condition it was in. He also stated “ You do not take thing from people, it is called stealing.” I can assure you that nothing was taken from his residence.  We have always conducted business in a professional manner and do our best to satisfy our customers with quality work and will continue to do so. Anthony P[redacted]?

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:It is factually incorrect, also statements referred to ,Where I may have been absent or not present to heat them,Would have to be verified. I have pondingOn my new Roof, they were there , both the contractors Saw all the ponding after the roof was " completed "I don't want ponding, they made no offer to correct it.Mr.B contractor didn't see and ask to have cleaned up,The " load out " mess of paint, tar, and other items that spilled.I did, and the Garage door was also cleaned because it had been spattered byMr.A. Contactor. And Niether of them Mr.A or Mr.B.Contractors, and so many others errors in his statementsere made. But this process is to resolve, or try to?Where in Mr.A's statement is thereAn offer to correct anything, thatI take exception with? I didn't see anything?bottom line:I Am not satisfied with the quality or the workmanship Of the Job.Therefore I feel that they didn't do what I had asked for,And verbally reconfirmed until it obvious thatThey and I were not communicating. They weren't interested in doing whatI was expecting, they were only interested in doingWhat they wanted to do.Which was not what I agreed to pay for.How will they solve that problem, they don't even hear or acknowledgeWhat I say now , or what I said then. What is their Solution? They got their money , I'm the injuredParty , what is the solution that They offed? None! Can't accept that, can't except no response that helps solve thisProblem.
