Hello- I responded on line once I received the complaintAs your note states, there are sides to every story, and I have stated our positionHer $is not a "diagnosis fee" it is a service call feeThat amount is what we charge to go to her house and drive backIt covers driver time, fuel, truck expense, etcThere is nothing to refund, because she wasn't charged for diagnosisShe threatened to take us to small claims court, I said good luck with thatFeel free to call me to discuss at ###-###-####Thanks for your time

I am rejecting this response because: The information that he is providing you is not proving anything other than they charged me for service I did not receiveThe batteries were fully chargedthey already knew about flat tire but choose to show up here. I was told the $was to diagnose the problem. I want to know what service I received for $50. did I just pay $for them to come and visit or to tell me what the problem was? they diagnose the problem as batteriesthat was a wrong diagnosisbatteries were not an issue. in summary I paid for service I did not receive and need a full refund

When our service technician was on-site, the batteries were under-charged and years oldAt that point, to provide a correct diagnosis and solution to the non-runner status, we need to bring the car in, charge it, test the batteries, and proceed from there if the batteries test out as goodThe customer decided to NOT have us bring it in at that pointI later spoke to the customer and she willingly decided to make a new appointment for us to bring it in, and I have attached the estimate we created for that appointmentIt was clearly explained to her that the new appointment included $service call fee, $minimum labor charge for diagnosis, and please allow 2+ weeks if we need to order partsThe customer agreed to this and willingly made the appointmentShe cancelled that second appointment the night before via a voice mail, so we did not arrive for the second appointmentWe called her per her request on the voice mail, but she never returned the callIt should also be noted that when the other company came out to fix the customer's car, the flat tires had been fixed, and the batteries were new & charged upIf that was the case when we arrived for our first appointment this month, we would have been able to diagnose and correct on-site or via a bring in to our shopAnd to set the record straight for charges to this customer, we billed $for batteries and service call in 2010, along with hours no charge labor to fix the potentiometer issue we discoveredWe have not heard from this customer for years until this month in which the service call was requestedWe arrive to see a car in poor condition that has not been maintained correctly as far as we can tell, since we have no service records for the past yearsThe only billing since the billing for the new batteries was the $service callI attached a report confirming this factPlease let me know if you need any more documentationThank you

Review: We were having problems with our golf cart and contacted them. they told us it was a battery and charged us $900 for batteries and service. Once they delivered the golf cart it still didn't work. We found out it was a different part and had it fixed by someone else. When I contacted them they said there was nothing they can do about it. Second time we had issue I called them (which I should of known better) they came in and charged us $50 to diagnose the problem. They once again told us it was the battery. This time we went to Costco and purchased and installed batteries. Once again batteries were not an issue. we called another company and they informed us it was the motor not the batteries. I called Gilchrist and asked for my diagnostic fee back since they did not diagnose it correctly. they told me too bad they will not refund the fee and that I should take them to court.Desired Settlement: $50.00 of my diagnostic fee refunded since they did not diagnose the problem

When our service technician was on-site, the batteries were under-charged and 4 years old. At that point, to provide a correct diagnosis and solution to the non-runner status, we need to bring the car in, charge it, test the batteries, and proceed from there if the batteries test out as good. The customer decided to NOT have us bring it in at that point. I later spoke to the customer and she willingly decided to make a new appointment for us to bring it in, and I have attached the estimate we created for that appointment. It was clearly explained to her that the new appointment included $50 service call fee, $80 minimum labor charge for diagnosis, and please allow 2+ weeks if we need to order parts. The customer agreed to this and willingly made the appointment. She cancelled that second appointment the night before via a voice mail, so we did not arrive for the second appointment. We called her per her request on the voice mail, but she never returned the call. It should also be noted that when the other company came out to fix the customer's car, the flat tires had been fixed, and the batteries were new & charged up. If that was the case when we arrived for our first appointment this month, we would have been able to diagnose and correct on-site or via a bring in to our shop. And to set the record straight for charges to this customer, we billed $823.47 for batteries and service call in 2010, along with 3 hours no charge labor to fix the potentiometer issue we discovered. We have not heard from this customer for 4 years until this month in which the service call was requested. We arrive to see a car in poor condition that has not been maintained correctly as far as we can tell, since we have no service records for the past 4 years. The only billing since the 2010 billing for the new batteries was the $50 service call. I attached a report confirming this fact. Please let me know if you need any more documentation. Thank you.

wish I could rate them less than one star. This is the worst company to use. They lack knowledge, accountability and customer service. We were having problems with our golf cart and contacted them. they told us it was a battery and charged us $900 for batteries and service. Once they delivered the golf cart it still didn't work. We found out it was a different part and had it fixed. When I contacted them they said there was nothing they can do about it. I am taking them to court and have reported them to Revdex.com.

Do Not use these guys. they are very incompetent and should not be in business.

I just purchased a Yamaha AC powered golf cart from the folks at Gilchrist and they are top notch. The buying process was low pressure and resulted in an honest price. The sales people were very professional, answered my questions, and readily admitted when they were unsure of an issue. I requested a few major modifications to the cart (extra seat, longer canopy) etc. and they told me it would be two weeks for delivery. I paid for the cart on a Friday and on Monday they called and told me the cart would be delivered on Wednesday. You couldn't ask for better service than that.

Since having the cart for about a month, I've had two minor issues with it and Gilchrist has been very responsive and proactive in getting them taken care of as quickly as possible. All in all a great buying and service experience. We'll eventually be in the market for another one and this will be my first stop.
