Review: I was sub contracted by [redacted] of Gilchrist Investments LLC. to renovate apartment units at 2020 Cypress Acres, Algiers, LA for an estimate of $900 per unit. After the 1st week of work, I was informed by tenants of the complex that the owner, [redacted] of Bruno Inc. among many other business names, does not pay his contractors for their work. I brought this to the attention of [redacted] and was assured that I would be paid for my services as agreed. On the day our arranged pay, I received half of what was owed to me and handed an absurd amount of excuses as to why money was withheld and promised over and over that I would receive the remainder of my pay the following scheduled pay date. I continued to work another week adding to the total owed to me from the previous week that was not paid, and when payment was due I was handed a tiny portion of the money owed to me for services rendered with more excuses for non payment in full. I have since looked into allegations made by tenants at this location and found that several contractors and sub contractors have done work and left for the same reasons of non payment. Gilchrist Investments withheld money due to me and my crew for work performed becaquse he was withheld money from the property owner as I warned he would be, in order to assure he received money for himself, he did not pay the sub contractors on the job site all money due to them and continues to try to complete this project for the property owner knowing he will not pay in full and in turn withholds money that is supposed to be paid out to the workers on site. I am filing complaints with OSHA, DA's office, Revdex.com, Louisiana Dept of Labor, and several other entities for their illegal and non permitted and non licensed construction that is under way at the above mentioned address of [redacted]I would be satisfied and willing to not go forth with any other filings against Gilchrist Investments if payment in full for services rendered to me is made.Desired Settlement: Agreed upon $900 per apartment unit times 7 units = $6300.00 - $2600.00 paid = $3700.00 owed.Settlement of $3700.00 will be suffice and I will not press forward with contacting any further agencies against Gilchrist Investments LLC which would accumulate several thousand dollars in fines. I understand that Gilchrist Investments was recently issued their license on April 18th 2013.

Thank you for handling my complaint, the owner of Gilchrist Investments LLC, [redacted], did contact me last week on my cell phone, and basically told me that he was not going to settle with me and that contacting the BB or any other agency would do nothing to him. In short, there has been no resolution to the complaint.
