Problem Description :
The mail:to link in Privacy Statement page does not work correctly if JavaScript is disabled in the client browser
Findings and Investigation Details:
www.gilead.com site uses denial of service solution to protect
against a range of threats: cross site scripting, SQL injection, comment spam, excessive bot crawling, email harvesters etc.,
The issue with the mail:to link is due to the email obfuscation being enabled on the website, which encrypts email addresses displayed on the website to prevent harvesting by bots and spammersThe email obfuscation requires JavaScript to be enabled, and with JavaScript disabled the link was not getting displayed correctly
Action Taken:
Removed the email obfuscation on the web page to fix the issue with Privacy Statements
