We stand by our first commentary and response to Ms ***'s complaintWe also have pictures of the horse and proof that she was fineAs for being blocked by the person that received the horse and that we were rude? Really? Because her and I had a good conversation about me owning a Varian Arabians and that I knew Sheila Varian personallyThere was nothing rude said at allAgain - I will be reporting Ms [redacted] to all the haulers that I know and I will make them aware that she is a scammer

In response to the above complaint:We were on our way to do this pickup when we received a call from the original owner saying that she had given this horse away to someone else as she felt that the buyer was way too "flaky" to take care of this horse properly once she received itWe did get delayed because of weather and a mechanical breakdown which occured prior to us getting impacted by the hurricane that struck Florida at this timeWe have cancellation clauses in our contractsWe had already spent the time, fuel not to mention the wear & tear on our equipment to get there as we were only a day away Therefore no refund

I contracted with Gilfry to transport our Mini Horse from Denver to southern Oregon. 4 days before the scheduled pick-up date our horse had to be put down due to an unknown serious incurable health issue. Although I was told I only had to pay 50% up front, I was billed for the whole amount. I paid it in full within 24 hours.
Per the contract I had to forfeit 50% of the agreed price because of canceling in less than 10 days prior to the "scheduled" pick-up. Also their truck was in the shop for brakes and the pick-up was going to be 3-5 days late I was told. I called after waiting 2 weeks and no refund. I called and talked to one of the owners who said they would check on it and call me back. NEVER HAPPENED. 3 WEEKS now and still no refund or response.
Do your self a favor and hire a REPUTABLE hauler...

A Chevy Diesel does not have adequate GVWR to haul a horse trailer with horsesOn September 7, Shipper stated"HiWe will try to make the 4th work if not it'll be on the 5th of October..." On Oct 2, Shipper stated: "Hi Tracey - we will not have an ETA until the evening before."On Oct - I received no call to tell me they would not be there Oct I called Ofelia at GilfryShe told me then that Cliff - the owner - was broken down for daysWhen Cliff finally called at 11:30AM on Oct 5, he told he had broken down which was why they were behind. In my dealings with Gilfry, they have been inconsistent and contradictory in their statementsThey told me they did not have the size of my horses, then sent me a copy of my request with the size of the horses on the posting they responded to:Sent Oct 12: "Here is the description of your horses - no where does it say that they are hands." (She is correct that they are not 18hI mistyped it in my email requesting a refundBut they did know the horses were 16.3h per the data they sent me below when I complained At 16.3h as specified a standard stock trailer is not sufficientI can provide a vet statement or statement from reputable hauler to verify that fact)I have removed my personal information from the information she sentOrigin Location: HARVARD IL USADestination Location: TRYON NC USANumber Of Horses: 5Horse Breed: Warmblood Horse Gender: Mare Horse Age: Horse HHorse Breed: Thoroughbred Horse Gender: Mare Horse Age: Horse HHorse Breed: Thoroughbred Horse Gender: Gelding Horse Age: Horse HHorse Breed: Thoroughbred Horse Gender: Gelding Horse Age: Horse HHorse Breed: Donkey Horse Gender: Stallion Horse Age: Horse HTime Frame: next30days

We were hired by this client to haul equinesAll our contracts have cancellation clauses that will protect us in the event of a last minute cancellationWhen a client cancels at the last minute - we can no longer fill those spots and have to drive an empty trailer to our next destinationThe
end result of this will be lose of money as we have to cover the fuel cost and the wear and tear on our equipment as well as not being able to earn the expected revenue from the cancelled haul. This cancellation clause was agreed to by the client when she signed her contract. Cancellations:More than days prior to the scheduled departure - $processing feeLess than days prior to the scheduled departure - 50% of the totalshipping feeIf the client chooses to cancel the run while enroute, with the horse alreadyin transit, all money collected by Transporter is forfeit. The truck that was sent to do her transport is Chevy Silverado with a Duramax Diesel engine that is more than adequate to haul a horse trailer with horses in itThe trailer that was sent is a custom built, reverse slant trailer that has the capacity to hold horses. The breakdown that she is speaking of had no impact on her transport as it was our other diesel truck that was in the shop - not the one doing her haul. All our pickup dates are estimates as per our contract and the date of pickup on the contract was October 5thWe arrived on the 6th. According to the driver who is the owner of this company - there were no witness present when he was speaking to her about the trailer. There will be no refund of her deposit as this client cancelled her transport the day of pickup and signed the contract agreeing to our terms and conditionsWe were not in breach of contract

We stand by our original commentary on this complaintThe original owner of the horse contacted us while we were in route and explained why she was giving this horse away to someone elseWe are not lying and or making this up

The accusations made by Gilfry transport are absolutely ridiculous! Obviously, we will never use them again - I just think others should have fair warning.  There was nothing that I did that caused delays.  If the weather and mechanical breakdowns were the only causes of my frustrations I would not have felt it necessary to contact the Revdex.com.  They have twisted the truth in as many ways as possible.  The person at the destination address in question did not say the things claimed... I was standing right next the person when Gilfry called her on Jan 7.  I heard the entire conversation.  And, the person had to blocked this business from contacting her again because of their rudeness.  I have pictures of my horse to prove her condition.  This can be verified! By the way, [redacted] is the one that said he meant up with another driver in NM the night before.  Perhaps he didn't know what state he was in ??? I am fully aware of the route.  I do not drive more than 8-10 hrs per day, and I do not drive over 55mph with a trailer. I take all cautions possible.  So, I was just trying to get out of paying?? Really? That's quite imaginative.  Do you have any idea how much you cost me in delays and work time? As well as extra costs because of the condition my horse arrived in?    You should have just said you couldn't do the job if it was too much for you.  I was clear about when I needed my mare delivered.  If an "estimated" arrival time of 5 days late in acceptable to you, then by all means, hire these people!

You are a liar (transport) and many people agree that you should not be pulling the trailer which is unsafe! I have photos to prove!

That’s a flat out lie I talked to the owner

We stand by our first commentary and response to Ms [redacted]'s complaint. Our truck is plenty powerful to pull an aluminum trailer with 4 horses in it.  Our trailer is plenty large to accommodate 16 hand horses.  Our contract states that our pickup dates are approximate. Contract stated the 5th - we arrived on the 6th and she was contacted on the 5th with an eta. Our other truck was in the shop not the truck that was sent her way. So it had no impact on her transport - it was just something that we mentioned in passing. Clinton (not Cliff) she does not even know the driver's name - tried to explain that their was plenty of room for her horses - she was not listening. She signed a contract with a cancellation clause - now she does not want to honor it. There will be no refund on this transport. We were not in breach of contract - we arrived to do her transport and she declined our services therefore forfeiting her deposit. It seems that Ms [redacted]'s has had experience dealing with horse haulers in the past and has learned how to take advantage of the small horse transport companies that don't have the means or the wherewithal to stand up for their contracts and their companies. Most small horse transport companies are run by 1 or 2 people max and would not have the time and or the money to defend themselves against  people that have no regard for the legal documents that they sign.
