Made an appointment to have my brake pads replacedWaited for hours before being told by the service rep that they had just put the last set of brake pads on a different vehicleYou’ll have to come back another day, he saidThe rep tried to tell me that they had only anticipated a brake inspectionEven if that was true, why would you not ensure that the part is available in case a replacement is required? Excuses stink and are easy to sniff out when they come from a salespersonThis is the second time I’ve had an issue with Gillman North regarding a partIn September 2014, they installed a passenger’s seat switch on the driver’s seat and gave the vehicle back to meI’m guessing the guy did not check the motor operation once he finished the job, or, even worse, he checked it, realized he’d screwed up, and had the vehicle returned to me anywayIt took me two seconds to realize the seat had horizontal movement, but no vertical movementFirst time, shame on you; second time, shame on meToo bad there aren’t any good Subaru dealerships in Houston

The customer came in for a
routine oil change in early March where we recommended a 90k service with
timing belt, which was declined. Nothing to do with the vehicle overheating.
Customer returned 15 days/500 miles later stating...

that the car was overheating
and they had been driving it  in that c**diti**.

We diagnosed the car as needing
head gaskets. The thermostat and water pump to be replaced as well.

She wasn’t satisfied, or didn’t trust that diagnosis and requested that
car go back to the selling dealer (North) after they offered to trade her out
of it. We were not trying to take advantage of her because she’s a bl**de, or
woman.

The customer came in for a routine oil change in early March
where we recommended a 90k service and replacing the timing belt, which was
declined. This had nothing to do with the vehicle overheating. Customer
returned 15 days/500 miles later stating that the car was overheating and they
had been driving it in that c**diti**.
It had to be towed in which Gillman paid for.**t>
The issue is that we are unsure of exactly what the problem
is until we open up the engine. The customer has not authorized us to do so. We
could theorize about the potential problem forever, until we get into the motor
there is really no way to know what is truly going **. The North Store has
repaired/replaced the radiator and thermostat with the possibility of this
fixing the problem. This was payed for by [redacted]. This still did not
fix the problem.**t>
**t>
We diagnosed the car as needing head gaskets. The thermostat
and water pump should to be replaced as well.**t>
There is no way to fully diagnose the problem without know
the extent of the damage. Mrs. [redacted] has been billed around $1500, but she
fails to acknowledge that $480 has been reimbursed By Gillman and [redacted] has covered the other $1000 out of good will. The vehicle was driven in
an overheated state by the customer until the vehicle stalled and needed to be
towed. This acti** could have caused multiple problems that we w**’t know the
soluti** to until a complete engine breakdown is authorized by the customer.**t>
**t>
[redacted] actually allocated the $1000 to go towards
engine work ** the vehicle. Mrs. [redacted] did not purchase any additi**al
vehicle service c**tracts. She has the Gillman Promise.**t>
**t>
We are making every attempt to assist this customer and hope
she will work with us to determine the problem she is having with her vehicle.**t>

Their resp**se is falsified, without detail, and extremely insulting.  Here are the facts:**t>**t>
Reply:
The oil was changed ** March 12 early morning, arriving at Gillman
[redacted] at approx. 7:30 am. I was invoiced at 8:33am by DR.  **t>**t>**t>** that day of March 12, they inspected and checked off the cooling system before returning car to me. I did not decline 90k service. I had to get to work since it was already later than promised, but I planned to take it in later for 90k service.
Four days later, M**day March 16, Temp
light came **. I did not state “we had been driving it in that
c**diti**.” The light had just come ** that morning of the 16th
near Gillman [redacted] my way to work in [redacted], four days after
Gillman [redacted] changed my oil, taking **e hour rather than the normal
30 mins.. **t>**t>**t>

pump to be replaced as well.**t>**t>**t>

Mechanic stated that water pump was out and caused overheating.
Said it needed water pump, maybe head gaskets, maybe heads, maybe
engine. Service estimate was $3000 to $12,000, depending ** gaskets,
head work or head replacement or engine replacement. They
recommended that I trade it in. I asked about warranty. They said
there is no warranty. My husband called [redacted] and asked
how a 3 year old water pump could fail. [redacted] agreed to
pay Up to $1000 for repair if it was water pump. I said it came with
the Gillman warranty and I bought an extra warranty. Subaru [redacted]
said no, I had no warranty. By now, we are a week or so into this.
So, I called Gillman North where I bought the car with the Gillman
Used Car Lifetime engine warranty, and the additi**al warranty that
they had talked me into buying.**t>**t>**t>**t>
They
said they would tow to their shop if I cleared the $480 diagnosis
charge at Gillman [redacted]. **t>**t>**t>**t>

She
wasn’t satisfied, or didn’t trust that diagnosis and requested
that car go back to the selling dealer (North) after they offered to
trade her out of it. We were not trying to take advantage of her
because she’s a bl**de, or woman. **t>**t>**t>
I
found the warranties in my paper work. So, Gillman [redacted] said there
is no record of any warranty, so I lost faith and trust with them. Gillman
north towed the car and diagnosed that the thermostat was stuck and
caused overheating, and that the radiator needed replacing, not that the water pump failed and it needed $3000 - $12,000 repair. They
said their leakdown test did not show that head gaskets were a
problem. So, here a two different diagnosis from 2 different Gillman
service shops. How could the [redacted] service not tell that the
radiator needed replacing? Further, if it was the water pump, then
that would have been noticed by Gillman Sub. North when they changed
the timing belt.  I have been billed $1500 dollars during this fiasco and still have a car that does not work, that I cannot use, that I still am paying for, that is still sitting in my driveway.  I have over 2 years left to pay ** this LEM**.  I feel I have been cheated and lied to, and I want my car repaired or replaced with like vehicle.  My husband called the office of the president of Gillman companies, Stacey Gillman Wimbish last week, they said they would have the MGR. of Gillman North call us and take care of this situati**, and still I have not heard anything.  I need my car repaired. I bought this car strictly to commute to and from work, and I am still paying for it for another two years, and it is sitting in my driveway, unusable. What is wr**g with this company?!**t>**t>**t>**t>
