Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***.
The item in question is NOT the bracelet but rather the 'Tube screw lug/cap" (with one missing lug/cap)Attached you will find recent pictures taken of Mr***'s watch with non-identical lug/capThe tube's diameter is significantly lesser than the set Mr*** borne prior to le***ng it with Mr*** from Village Watch Center (see attached)In addition, a PDF compiled PNG screenshots containing all of Mr*** and Mr***'s SMS correspondence may shed light. Please advise,
Regards,

This is a second response to Ms***'s frivolous complaint that she submitted to your office. Please note that the clock in question is a carriage clock and the hand cannot be brought “in a little plastic zip bag" unless someone actually opened the front of the clock by removing the glass enclosureThe face of the clock is covered by glass and must be opened with special toolsSo again, the clock was brought in by this customer and the HAND WAS FLOATING INSIDE THE FACE OF THE CLOCK which was covered by the glass(PLEASE SEE PHOTO OF CLOCK LIKE THE ONE WE ARE DISCUSSING)Also, I am not sure how well her memory is of the incident since she mentions that she came to the store one timeThe customer came to the store a total of times including the day that she initially brought the clock in with the floating handWhen realized that the customer was not reasonable and would not listen to anything I said, I finally offered her a 50% refund which is half of $I never offered her the $I did say to her that she should leave the clock so that I can take a look once again and she refusedThe customer was not reasonable and refused my offer of even leaving the clock with meIn my store there's a sign which is prominently displayed advising that I do not offer any refunds but just store creditIn this case, I tried to make the customer happy by offering her 50% refund as well as re-servicing the clock to see what the issue wasShe never allowed me to even look at the clock. My father has been a clockmaker for over years working in companies such as *** *** as well as clock repair business for himself during all those yearsHis father before him was a clockmaker as wellI have been in the business for almost yearsWe come from a long line of clockmakers and I take real offense to this childish name calling that this woman has stooped down toBy calling me an “inept con artist” she has gone too farOur bread and butter comes from repair of watches, clocks, grandfather clocks and cookoo clockWe offer each client individual service and will go to peoples homes to pick up the mechanism of their grandfather clock, fix it in house and then balance the grandfather clock to make it look and sound like it’s a brand new clockWe refurbish clocks that are missing pendulums and give antique clocks new lifeIn fact, if you look at our *** reviews you will see that we are stars and have glowing reviewsClocks and watches that have been in the family for centuries are brought back by Village Watch CenterWe are talented watchmakers and know the business of repair in and outWe live it dailyBelow is a picture of the clock like the one that this customer brought(IT IS NOT HER Clock BUT ONE LIKE IT) Please note the glass bases on each side including the faceIt is impossible to remove the hand as she statesThe hand the clock that customer brought was FLOATING INSIDE THE CLOCKThere’s no reason for anyone to change out her handI respectfully request that the case be closedI will again and for the last time offer her a refund of $as a goodwill gestureThis offer is only valid for the next days at which time I will not give any more refunds since my time is money and she has been wasting it in excess of the $I am willing to returnThank you for your help

Hello, Unfortunately there will always be someone who is looking to cause issues and trying to get over any business. This is a family owned small business and we rely on our many happy clients and word of mouth. The above client not only walked out of the store without paying for the job...

but then went on to bad mouth the business to the Revdex.com, filing a AG report and then reviewing the business with a 2 star review. Not sure what the ulterior motive of this person is but we will always stand behind our excellent work and ethics. Claiming that a business owner "stole/took" something is defamatory and we will not allow such statements be made in jest. We will not lower ourselves to the same levels. This client still texts the business owner, even after all he has done, so these actions are now viewed by the business as harassment. His last text was last night.  Our 4.5 star rating speaks for itself with over 99 reviews. This client watch bracelet was 'after market' and we are no longer willing to talk or work with this client. The watch is fixed and we did a great job. Our work has not been respected by this customer and our the job was never paid for.  At this point we don't consider Mr. [redacted] our client.Thank you for your time and have a wonderful weekend.-- [redacted]

[redacted] HI ; MR [redacted] RESPONSE IS , COMPLETLY UNTRUE . THE HAND WAS NOT FLOATING AROUND IN THE CLOCK , IN FACT ; THE HAND FELL OUT AT MY HOME . I BROUGHT  THE HAND IN A LITTLE PLASTIC ZIP BAG , ALONG WITH THE CLOCK TO HIM . HE ALSO FAILED TO MENTION THAT ,  THE CLOCK RUNS FOR WEEKS AFTER BEING  WOND . it is an 8 day clock , I never had an issue in 20 yrs until I took it to village clock .the clock worked fine . I only went back one time . he also never told me that , he sent the work out tobe fixed by someone else . originally he told me that , he and his father worked on the clock . when I back to once to complain about the clock he told me ; he would have his friend look at it . he did offer me my 350.00 back but then , I wind up with a clock that's missing it's original hand and not working correctly . there is scads of complaints on yelp about him doing the same thing to other people . he is an inept con artist who knows nothing about fixing antique clocks . he sells high end watches ; that's all .Regards,

The clock was brought in to my store for a few months ago. The hand was off and floating inside the face of the clock. The clock was in need of service, cleaning and the hand needed to be-placed back. The clock was worked on and fully serviced, the hand was placed back and customer was called to say...

that she can pick up the clock. Customer came to pick up and saw the clock. I personally showed her all the work that was done to the clock, winded it in front of her. Clock was working fine and customer left happy. I called to f/u a week later and customer was happy and had no complaints. Approximately-2 weeks later after, so at least 3 weeks after pick up, customer called claiming the clock wasn’t working properly. I asked her to bring it back for an adjustment. She brought it back and at that point claimed that we took her hand and changed it for another. I explained to the customer that we do not need the hand and her hand and changed it for another. I explained to the customer that we do not need the hand since don’t do anything like that. Because she is an elder and out of respect for age and time, I offered to refund her money since she wasn’t happy and was upset. She refused, continuing to demand the hand that she felt we took. She left the store threatening that she would take me to Court. A few weeks later she came back once again threatening court and asking for the hand of th elcock. I can’t give back what I don’t have and what’s in face part of her clock that she picked up. As a goodwill gesture I am willing to offer half of what she paid which is $175.00. I feel that work was done and the clock is working fine and customer is having  a paranoid episode claiming theft of the clock hand. I do not have hand and the hands in her clock are the ones that she had. I will not pay anything over the good will gesture of $175.00 which I feel is actually more than I should since the work was done.
