I took my car to have break pads replaced. The owner worked on my car and did not replace the lug-nuts tight enough resulting in [redacted] worth of damage.I took my car to Gimo in late [redacted] 2015 when my brake light came on. I asked him to replace which ever break pads needed to be replaced. I picked up the car up a couple hours later. I was unsure which pads were replaced and had a hard time understanding the owner (language barrier). I was given absolutely no paperwork or receipt and paid him [redacted] cash. About a week later I noticed my steering wheel start to move back and forth when I was driving. It got progressively worse over the next couple weeks. I Called my regular mechanic on [redacted] XX XXXX and he told me to bring it in on [redacted] I am a real estate agent and drive for a living so I continued to drive it and was hoping it would be ok until [redacted] The next day [redacted] my car completely broke down and the driver's side front tire was completely hanging off. I had to have AAA tow it to my mechanic. My mechanic's first question was "Who did your front brakes?". I did not inform my mechanic about the brakes being done and until then did not put two and two together. My rim was completely destroyed and there was further damage done.Desired SettlementI would like to be reimbursed the [redacted] that I had to pay my mechanic to correct the damage that was caused to my because Gimo did not properly secure the lugnuts.
