Gina Byrd

Contacted CPA Rick O at Gina Byrd and arranged for him to do my taxes for 2019 in early March, prior to quarantine. Not completed, no response.
Rick originally stated that he would have my taxes completed in 'a few days' when I delivered him my information. This was the fourth consecutive year he had provided this service. Due to the subsequent Covid crisis, I allowed additional time prior to following up. I contacted him the first week of April, he told me that he had been working from home and my taxes were almost completed even though the deadline had been extended to July. I called back the following week and was told they were completed and Rick agreed to send me the information via encrypted email. I did not receive an email, on follow up calls I was told he had a technical issue but it was resolved and I would have it the email in 24 hours. We confirmed the email address. No receipt and no return of voicemail. When I did not receive it, I called Gina Byrd direct to advise that I was not receiving a return call nor my taxes. She advised that Rick had a scooter accident but she would speak to him and follow up. I did speak to Rick and he advised he injured himself, but would send me the email the same day. Since April I have left attempted to reach him numerous times via phone. Messages have not been returned. I have spoke to Gina Byrd on three separate occasions where she advised she would have him send me the information or do my tax returns herself. I last spoke to her on Friday, June 5th and she said that there was nothing that she could do in regards to the lack of service or response other than tell Rick to call me. I advised that it has been approximately 90 days and the agreed upon service(tax completion) had not been completed or my information returned so that my taxes are filed on time. I left a message for Rick on Friday and attempted him on Monday, June 8th. There has been poor response from the owner and CPA to address or resolve the issue. Providing high level customer service has not been a priority, I have been given many excuses by the owner as to why a returning customer has been treated in this manner; including that others needed help so they could receive a stimulus payment. My business has not been valued; it is extremely disappointing that I had to go to this length of filing a formal complaint.
