* *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** Dear Ms*** We are in receipt of your letter dated November 5, 2017, regarding complaint *** I am writing to provide specific information to resolve the issueWe engage in outbound telemarketing to secure new small business clients for our firmThe telemarketing is exclusively business-to-business calling, never solicitation of private individualsWe obtain call lists from a well-known national vendor which "scrubs" the lists to remove any non-business or other no-call numbersAlthough not mentioned in the complaint, the telephone number in question is associated with a small business which appears to have a mailing address in AustinWe can provide specific information upon requestWe first attempted to contact the company on January 6, Over the ten-month period between January and October 25, 2017, we made seven attempts to contact the company, never speaking with anyoneReports from our phone system show that we received no inbound calls from that phone number until October 25, We received no other contact of any type regarding the company or its phone numberOn October at I :30:pm, the reports reflect an inbound call from the number in question, directed to a telemarketing stationPhones at such work stations are constantly in use when manned, but the caller did not leave a voice messageSoon after, a second call was made to our firm's reception desk and the caller was connected to the telemarketing supervisorHe asked the supervisor to remove the number from our call listShe did so immediatelyWe also informed our list vendor, who responded that they would remove the number from their lists as well Page ofIf at any time before October we had received a message or contact of any type requesting no further calls, this number would have immediately been removed from our list and there would have been no further attemptsWhen we did receive his request on October 25, we responded immediately in a polite and professional mannerThe phone number was removed from our call list, and there will be no further calls from our officePlease let me know if we can provide any additional informationYour assistance in closing this matter will be greatly appreciatedSincerely, *** ** *** ***
