I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. It appears that Ms Mumpower's representative promised something (a dark blue/violet stone) that could not be delivered for the additional $150.00. Therefore, I agree that it is best that this incident end. I am available at 10:30 am on May 14th to come into the store to have the stone removed and to be given a check for $408.00 covering my payments, I ask that the check be given to me at the time the work is done. Please let me know if this time and date are acceptable and most importantly, the name of the representative who will be there and responsible to handle this transaction.Thank you for your help.

Tuesday, May 19 at 10:30 will be fine.
When Mrs [redacted] brought her rings in with a broken prong, and said she lost the tanzanite, we were under no obligation to replace the stone at no charge. However, we credited the full amount toward the purchase of a higher quality tanzanite ( she did not like the grey color of the first stone), for an additional $150.00, at her request. The grade is NOT undetermined, as we provided copies of the invoice showing that she received a AAA quality ~ exactly one grade higher than she paid for. She left the store saying that she was pleased with the ring. We sized her ring, retipped 4 prongs, soldered the rings together and refurbished and rhodium plated both rings. Since customer satisfaction is paramount at Ginger's Jewelry, we will allow her to receive this work at our expense. In addition, Mrs. [redacted] has paid a total of $408.00. Will will refund this entire amount for the return of the tanzanite & request that our jeweler do the work (at no charge) to remove the stone to ensure it isn't damaged. We've done everything possible to satisfy Mrs. [redacted] and cannot make her happy. Please let me know a time and day for us to make arrangements for the refund and removal of the tanzanite and we will work around Mrs. [redacted] schedule and do the work while she waits. Thank you for your assistance.Kindest regards,Ginger Mumpower
I did not receive Mrs. [redacted] letter.l I'm not sure if it never made it to my address or was misplaced. According to my records, on July 11, 2014, Mrs. [redacted] brought in a wedding set with side diamonds and missing center stone. We mounted a grade A tanzanite in her...
ring, sized it up to a 6.5, retipped all 4 prongs and soldered the two rings together for $413.00. If compared to other stores, our price for the job is about 50% less. Mrs. [redacted] returned the ring to my store on December 4, 2014. The prong had been broken and the tanzanite stone was lost. We offered to replace the stone and repair the prong at no charge. Mrs. [redacted] decided to upgrad the tanzanite to a AA quality for an additional $150.00. She came in on January 7, 2015 to pick the ring up. The repair ticket printed out the instruction to upgrade the tanzanite to an "A" quality. Mrs. [redacted] questioned the receipt and I checked with the jeweler and he assured me that he ordered a AA stone. Product is not as easy to obtain during the Christmas season and the person placing the orders couldn't locate a AA quality in the dimensions needed for her mounting so she actually got a "AAA" stone for the ring. I faxed a copy of my invoice to verify the quality. I'm not sure why it took so long for Mrs. [redacted] to let us know of her doubts, but hope that this will put her mind at ease as far as what she has received in terms of quality and service. We tried to go above and beyond and actually lost money on the job in our efforts to satisfy her. Thank you,Ginger MumpowerOwner, Ginger's Jewelry
Review: Please accept this as a formal complaint about the services provided by Ginger's Jewelry, [redacted]
Please refer to the enclosed letter to Ginger dated January 24th for the details.
There has been no response.
As an overview
A prong in my ring broke after only four months. When I returned to the store they offered to replace
the tanzanite stone for the same Grade A at no cost. The stone was a pale blue/violet in color and I
expressed an interest in having the stone replaced with one of a darker blue. I was shown a sample ring
of the color which was a dark blue/violet. I like the color and was told that would require an upgrade to
a Grade AA and the cost would be $150.00. I agreed to the update and additional cost. Unfortunately, I
trusted the staff member who placed the order and did not require a receipt.
What I got was a replacement stone of a similar pale color and not the deep blue/violet as shown and
promised. Also the receipt stated Grade A. When I questioned the receipt I was given a verbal assurance
that it was a Grade AA. It was in the evening so I had yet to spot the pale color the replacement stone.
As you can see, the trust that I had put in Ginger's Jewelry is now gone and I am asking that
either the stone be replaced with one of a dark blue/violet in color that was promised along with a
written statement that it is indeed a Grade AA or refund my $150 payment.
I ask that the Revdex.com check into this situation of inferior service. I am hopeful that
Ginger Mumpower will stand behind her business and on the promised that were made by her
representative in order to maintain her reputation in the community.Desired Settlement: I am hopeful that Ginger Mumpower will stand behind her business and on the promised that were made by her
representative in order to maintain her reputation in the community.

Response:
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Ginger Mumpower is ignoring the issue. I had asked for and was promised a replacement stone of dark blue/violet in color. I was told that it was necessary to upgrade to a Grade AA quality in order to get the color that I wanted and the cost would be an additional $150, which I agreed to pay. Grade was not a point of interest for me. Grade AA or I understand now we are talking of a Grade AAA, was never the concern... What I received was another pale blue/violet stone similar to the original grade A one, in a yet to be verified grade.Another point of not "understanding why it took so long", I had left two phone messages and finally wrote my letter of February 19th all of which were ignored explains the time frame.I stand by the original agreement and what I paid for, to receive a dark blue/violet stone, which must be of a Grade AA quality, or to refund me my $150 and end this unpleasant situation.Thank you.Sincerely,[redacted]
