Gini G's Salon and Day Spa Reviews (2)

February 13, 2014
To Whom It May Concern:I am writing this letter in response to Revdex.com customer complaint ID #[redacted]. I have been the owner of Gini G’s Salon and Day Spa for 21 years and a Look Good.. .Feel Better Program volunteer with the American Cancer Society for 18 years now....

As an area trainer and instructor, I teach women and teens how to disguise the side effects of chemo and radiation treatment at several local hospitals. Helping men, women and children, experiencing hair loss from chemo and radiation treatment, is my life’s work.At no time was the customer’s mother told that a portion of wig sales go to the ACS.The Customer’s mother came to my salon on July 24,2013 for a free wig consultation. During that consultation, she selected an excellent quality, 100% hand-made, 100%[redacted] human hair wig and left a deposit. On August 7, 2013, the customer’s mother came to the salon to take a look at the wig she had ordered. She was very pleased with the color and texture of the wig and paid the balance that was due. On September 4, 2013, the customer’s mother came into the salon with two friends, to have her wig properly fit and styled. Before she left the salon, she and her friends were all very happy with the color and style of the wig. I made sure to tell her that if she needed any additional tweaking, all she had to do was just call me, as I would be more than happy to do it.A day or two later, I received a call from the customer’s mother asking if I could trim her wig a little more, so I scheduled an appointment for her to come into the salon on September 11, 2013. She never showed up for her appointment nor did she call. I called her later that day to reschedule her missed appointment. To date, I have never heard back from her. It was later brought to my attention that the Customer’s mother went to her former salon and had them cut and color her wig. While she was there, she publically slandered my good name and professional reputation.Unfortunately, the customer who wrote the letter filing a complaint with the Revdex.com has never been in my salon, nor has she ever met me or my staff. Her letter contains many, many false and slanderous accusations. I would like her to know that her mother was always treated with respect, compassion and professionalism. She was never intimated, pressured or taken advantage of in any way whatsoever by me or my staff. The truth is that her mother never gave me the opportunity to tweak her wig. Instead, she decided to go to another salon to get her wig cut, multiple times and colored.Although I am not responsible for any damage that was caused by another salon, I would be more than happy to take a look at her wig and see if there is anything I can do to help restore it.

March 27, 2014To the Revdex.com (c/o [redacted]) and Gini Gramaglia—It is unfortunate that Gini Gramaglia has accused me, the daughter of the customer affected, of slander. I merely recounted my mother's experience at the salon, verbatim, because the situation was so traumatic that she could not bring herself to write the letter meaningfully. Therefore, as one of her caretakers, I took it upon myself to file the complaint on her behalf.Gini, you are the one filing false accusations and slandering my name and my mothers. Your actions speak for themselves. There are pictures attached showing the shoddy workmanship of a supposed real hair, high-end wig. High-end wigs are designed to breathe—the swimming cap attachment in the wig is not breathable and is a material used on lower end wigs.Additionally, another report exists online that documents an eerily similar experience with a customer who was treated poorly and received an imperfect wig in 2010 (see attached). Are these customers slandering your name as well?As a survivor myself, I'm saddened by your lack of compassion and attack on both of these women fighting cancer, and perhaps on many more that are simply too weak and traumatized to speak out.A refund and an apology are deserved in this situation.Sincerely,
