Gino's Wide Shoes & Shoe Repair

I so wish I had read the online reviews before I went to Gino's. I like to support local businesses, but this place is a disaster. I've tried them three times and all three times were exceptionally disappointing. The first time they lost my shoes and it took them over an hour to find the shoes. The second time they said it would be one week but it took three weeks to finish the shoes, and then they could not find my shoes when I went to pick them up (again). The quality of the repair was less than average. The third and final time I took a pair of black dress shoes in. The new soles pealed off from the rest of the shoes (both) after the second time that I wore them, and it took them forever to find the shoes when we went to pick them up. We actually told them that we would come back to pick them up and they still had not found them when we went back a few days later. I took the shoes back to have them fixed and they could not find them when I just went back to pick them up. I'm going back next week for another try to see if they can find them. I would avoid this place at all cost!

Review: On Friday October 17th I dropped off two pairs of shoes to be repair the first young man that worked with me was very nice, professional and had good customer service. I explain to that young man I need the shoes by October 24 because during the week I live in ** and I'm going to a conference. That your man said no problem the shoes will be ready. My nightmare began on Friday October 24 dealing with a little boy by the name of [redacted], I went in to pick up my shoes only one pair was ready when I asked about the pair he told me in such a very rude tone as he pointed to the register that all shoes will be ready after 3pm. So I then I ask it takes over week to repair some heels how come one pair is ready but not the other pair which he could not find. He told me come back and the shoes will be there once again I told [redacted] that I do not live here during the week I need the other heels for a conference I will be attending, again the little boy cut me off and said they will be here today after 3pm. I did not return on that Friday October 24 I came back on Sunday October 26 and still no shoes, and Lem did not look nor did he call the owner which I asked several times. I said again I'm driving back up to LA and I need my shoes. I ask [redacted] to have the owner call me. Ask I was walking out the store this little boy makes a rude and racism remark about me and laughs out loud stating he will give me my shoes will he feels like it! On Monday October 27th I get a message that I can pick up my shoes that day after 1pm, I called back asked again to speak to the owner [redacted] hang up the phone on me. I have called back several times after that and once again [redacted] continues to not let me speak to the owner nor telling the owner I want to talk to him. I had to by new shoes, I am leaving for the conference and will not be back until November 7th. I am asking them not to throw nor give my shoes away. This place has had my shoes since October 17th and [redacted] continues to be rude hanging up on me and making races statements.Desired Settlement: I want my shoes back plus I want the $[redacted] I paid to get the shoes fixed, I am not asking for the the money I had to spend for a new pair of heels to take to this conference. I do not want to deal with or have Lem call or leave any messages. I am asking not to throw my shoes away I will come get them.

Review: Store required full payment to resole pair of shoes which were not ready when promised, several failed dates for promised completion have since followed. Company deserved the Revdex.com "F" rating it has been provided.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a refund.
