?[redacted] came in on 7/07/14 for a diagnosis on her vehicle she came in saying that it was shifting right and she was nerves to drive it we had scanned it and told her it pulling 6 electrical codes and to near o it down we would need to check it more she then left it after hours spent on checking...

all the possible problems we came up with the conclusion it was the computer .The computer is the last thing we had called [redacted] and told her to please come down for we can show her and explain everything to her which we did .  She was crying and said she knew her husband messed it up I had told how much it was gonna cost to fix the problem and also said [redacted] is notorious for computer problems I had called the dealer to find out how much the computer is and told her $ 1600.00 her work would have a manufacturer warranty and her labor warranty was 30 days . Gio's was going to sublet to the dealer for the work, she took her car on 7/08/14 still crying about the husband and said she was just going to sell it I had told her that she can take it to the dealer which she did and our diagnosis ( according to her ) was right it was the computer her complaint was that I didn't tell her about the sensors also but that was because there was no communication to the computer there was no way of us finding that out at the time . I am sorry [redacted] had to go through this ordeal but it still boils down to we were correct on our diagnosis [redacted] did go to the dealer and when they told her there findings she turned around and traded the car for another I think the $ 120.00 Electrical charge was fare and just considering we spent many hours on it no one would of did it for that price . Gio's Diagnosis for mechanical is $49.95 and Electrical is  $ 120.00 has been for 4 years the same price Electrical is complex and takes  knowledge not just any mechanic has that knowledge , I also think Gio's was judged wrongly with the Revdex.com on this I have also lost customers because the the great big F that was placed by the Revdex.com and all over [redacted] Gio's did no wrong on this vehicle

There is no way to attach a response to this matter. Please attach the below comments to this matter:Our company has hired an Attorney and this will be either settled within a week or will be heading to court. Gio's Automotive has made no attempt to fix the situation and remains in possession of our stolen property. They did not even come close to finishing the car. The last time the car was seen bumpers and parts were piled into the interior sticking out of the roof. The hood was never replaced or painted. The car looked like it was ready for the scrap yard with a poor paint job on certain areas, and others were not painted at all or were in primer. Their work is a joke and they have $12,350 of our money. There are plenty of shops in the Phoenix area, choose one other than Gio's Automotive! Please post that response.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 1[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

I first brought my car to Gio's after the dealership told me it was going to be $500 just for my part, plus labor. [redacted] was able to get my part and install it for half that cost. Her head mechanic went through and inspected all the work before approving it to come off the lift- this is the passion that brings me back to Gio's. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, and I trust [redacted] with my car and my wife's car.

Review: I was told that my computer needed to be replaced, I also was told they checked all the senors, wire harness, etc, which they charged me $120.00 just to find the problem, they wanted $1,600 for just the computer, which I said no and picked my car up, took it to another [redacted] dealer and they told me it was the senor, and I don't think it was right to pay them $120.00 to tell me it was not the senor, when it was. they had my car at there shop for 4 days. They need to refund my money back, I would not ever recommend this shop to no one. they told me the labor would be $30.00 only. not $120.00Desired Settlement: I want a complete refund with a check of $60.00

Review: In January of 2015 we provided a 1984 Pontiac TransAm car to Gio's Automotive for a complete restoration. This car is a replica of K.I.T.T. the car from the TV series [redacted] Rider. It was outfitted with a great deal of interior electronics in accordance with the TV series and some appearance items on the exterior of the vehicle as well. Gio's Automotive on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix was hired to bring it back to,"show condition," for the originally agreed to amount of $10,000. The agreement was made that a payment plan was in place so that funding would be provided as needed for expenses of the rehab. There were a total of 6 payments made at the following schedule:

Jan 30th - $1,000

Feb 19th - $3,350

Mar 27th - $2,000

Apr 11th - $3,000

May 22nd - $3,000

Total, $12,350

The expected completuion date was to be the end of May 2015. The $ overage was due to some unforeseen minor mechanical issues that we are told are repaired(starter, alternator, brake lines) and additional cost for,"better quality paint.". I have not seen the vehicle run or drive, so I cannot confirm if these mechanical issues have been completed or not. After months of excuses of why the car has still not been completed or returned, at the end of July about 60 days after the anticipated completion date, I was personally assigned by the vehicle owner to manage getting the car completed in a timely manor. I went to Gio's Auto and met with Jane [redacted] the Owner of Gio's on July 21st to address the holdups, answer any pending questions, and set expectations for vehicle completion. We agreed the car would be completed by the 1st week of August and what still needed to be finished. Also, that there would be no further funds for the vehicle except for $300 to buy a different hood from a junkyard to be included in the restoration, and I agreed to pay for that in a seperate check for the hood. The August deadline came and went and she requested another week to which I agreed. Yet another week came and went and I could get no response and then was told a story of her husband being in a car wreck that would require another week to get the car done. I then requested to view the car as the excuses were piling up and I had a feeling we were getting dragged along. She responded to my inquiry to see the vehicle and provided an address to another shop in another part of town. I went right away to view the vehicle on 8-25-15 and was shocked to find the condition of the vehicle. I took pictures of the shell of the car which is in a state of total destruction. Interior completely removed. No hood, doors, trunk, T tops attached to the vehicle, primered exterior. Even though Ms. [redacted] said the last time we spoke it was very nearly finished. I spoke to a staff member who said he had been working on the car at one point, but, said he was pulled off the project and it had not been touched in 2 weeks, even though Jane had been telling me that it was close to completion. Immediately, I sent Jane an e-mail after calls were not answered telling her that obviosly she had no intention of living up to our agreement and I wanted our car returned and $9,300 of our money returned immediately. In fairness there had been some work done to the vehicle to take everything apart and if the mechanical issues turn out to be repaired that would have been some level of effort. We valued their efforts very generously at about $3,000 to try to have a rapid fair resolution. Ms. [redacted] cut off all communication. She hung up on me on 3 recorded calls and will not respond to e-mail to give status of the vehicle at all us to allow us to make arrangements for pick up. We tried to report the car as stolen with Phoenix Police, but, were told it was a civil matter and to take them to court as they were a shop contracted to restore the car. I have had Phoenix Police with me out to the two seperate shops on 2 seperate occasions to get our vehicle back and Ms. [redacted] has personally in recorded conversations told me that she would return the car and has not both times. On attempt 1, Ms. [redacted] told Police she had no idea who I was and that was why she could not return the vehicle even though I have dozens of e-mails and recorded conversations with this woman personally. When I provided e-mail evidence to the Police they quickly set her strait for lying and directed her to immediately return our vehicle that was at their body shop location. All documented in Phoenix Police Incident #2015-1777126. Upon going to the body shop location without Police present, Ms. [redacted] husband [redacted] attempted to get me to sign a hold harmless as-is receipt to pick up the vehicle without even seeing it. I refused and was unsuccessful at getting Police back to that location while the tow truck was present. The second time, the car was again moved back to it's origional location and I actually signed a different agreement at her request to return the vehicle and parts that were never reaffixed to the car. She then decided after the agreement was in hand to still not return the car and Phoenix Police had to force her to rip up the signed agreement. Both times I had tow trucks present and waiting as the vehicle is unfinished and un-driveable. It's condition as of the second attempt with Police present was some portion of the car had finally been painted. Not the hood, and it appeared to have no bumpers, or wheel caps. The entire interior was unfinished and piled with un restored unused parts sticking out of the T tops. A COMPLETE MESS!!!! The paint that was done looked terrible. One of the Phoenix Police officers present said,"the car looked like a piece of junk. This is what all of the fuss is about." This shop is the most unethical business I have ever dealt with!!! Not only have they taken out $12,350, they refure to retuirn our vehicle, and the work is not even close to being completed. Ms. [redacted] has generated an invoice illedging that we owe even more money to get the car back including 100's of dollars for storage fees and interior work that was never done. The audacity of charging storage fees when they won't complete the work or return our car is the most flagrant display of unethical behavior I have ever seen in a business situation in my entire life. Upon doing some research, I found that Ms. [redacted] in currently in a lawsuit with another person that is alledging unethical if not illegal behavior. I even contacted this person who explained what Gio's had done to him. His acounting of the behaviors of Ms. [redacted] are exactly consistent with my experiences with this woman. I have recorded calls, conversations, and dozens of e-mails regarding all of the facts presented in this matter. If you are reading this you should RUN away from doing business woith this shop!!!This shop needs to do the right thing and return our stolen property and the balance of our funds for work never completed.Desired Settlement: Return our stolen vehicle and $9,300 of the unused funds from the work uncompleted.
