Give A Share

My nephew purchased a Microsoft share as a gift for me from Give A Share (www.GiveAshare.com). I was contacted by Give A Share to provide my Name, Address and Social Security number to register the share. I did not feel comfortable providing personal information such as Social Security number via email or on the phone to the company. I requested that the company refunded my nephew since I did not want to provide my Social Security number to register the share. The customer service representative said that she will not be able to register the share without my Social Security number and could not refund my nephew. The cost of a Microsoft share is only about 30 dollars, but its wrong for a company to take a customers money and not provide a service or product.
