GJ Gardner Homes of Comal County Reviews (4)

The allegations made by Mr [redacted] are completely untrue We never understood why he took the action that he did, but could only assume that he felt that he could profit by finishing the home himself Though the home took two months longer than originally anticipated, most of the delay was due to having allowed him to purchase and install the ceramic tile and granite countertops Mr [redacted] had presented himself as the manager of a large tile company with resources to do this work It took him over two months to do a two week job We also had to contend with daily rain, during the framing stage of construction.Mr [redacted] order upgrades to cabinetry, fireplace, camera wiring, cable, and other, for which he never paid Sadly, we were four days from completion when he wanted to take over construction Liens have been filed in order to collect unpaid amounts The idea that threats were made against his family is simply a fabricated, out and out lie and issues such as his have never before nor never since been an issue with other projects. The only logical conclusion for what went on is that either Mr [redacted] thought he could profit by finishing himself, later finding differently, or that he simply did not have the funds to close on his permanent financing and needed the additional time to get in better financial condition Either way, it was not due to the things he mentioned That is all a "smoke screen" designed to hide the truth

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:As always, what the builder is implying is completely false, the only thing we wanted was to finish our house, but he never understood the concept of Customer service, never set up a schedule, the house was never going to be finish in four days as he claims due to the enormous deficiencies that a certified inspector found on itIt has not only costs us a lot more to repair all the negligencies and poor execution, it is unfortunate that this type of persons are allow to operate with total impunity, filing bogus claims and never paying their subcontractors (Me, being one of them), We are also filing suits to recover our expenses due to his lack of professionalism and craftmanship, we have witnesses that will come forward (homeowners, subs and others) when the time comes Regards, [redacted]
