Review: We called [redacted] at [redacted] to fix a clothes dryer. He did go

the same day we called and sprayed the wires and charged $90.00. The following

day, the washer stopped working (before, it had no issues) and [redacted] went the

same day, bought a part (at least he said) and charged $150.00. Within a few

days, the washer broke again and [redacted] is NO longer returning calls and his

voicemail is now full. We asked nicely for a call back and no reply. I just

read all of the Revdex.com complaints and I CANNOT believe this company is still in

business. I wish we would have read these comments earlier because we would

have never contacted this company.

We are so upset and have read about scams before but have never experienced this

is the past. How can businesses operate like this and still be allowed to

advertise. We did receive a handwritten receipt on a guarantee of one (1) year

but NO calls back.Desired Settlement: Repair the washer properly or give us a refund.

GJR Appliance Repair .

Review: On thursday night 7/18/13 my husband placed a call to G** applyance repair at the phone number ###-###-#### he found on the penny saver and scheduled an appointment for friday. Our washer machine is not working and is leaking water. On friday at about 5:05 pm the technician was at our house at 569 E. street # 8 looked at the washer and said, the problem is that your wife is overloading the washer, closed it back up and charged my husband $60.00 but before he left he told my husband , well let me check your refrigerator ( he tried to be a proffecional and not just take the money for the work he did not do ) so he proceeded to give my husband some pointers.he took off a face plate on the bottom of the fridge but strugled with it untill it came off. And told my husband to just vacuum the bottom for longer life. The technician was paid and off he went. On that same day I ([redacted]) went to the refrigerator to get some water I noticed there was a leak coming from the bottom hose that feeds the water dispencer.

At the same time my husband went up the stairs to load the washer, My husband only placed a couple of items of clothing in a medium load. he came down stairs as I was letting him know about the water leak at the bottom of the fridge we both looked up and noticed that the ceiling was bubblele with lots of water about 10 times worse than the small leak we originally had. My husband then ran up the stairs to stop the load. then my husband got on the phone and called the ###-###-#### number and requested for someone to come back and see all the damages that we now have. now the same technician came don't know his name but went by **. He came after a couple of hours at 8:40 pm he proceeded to take off the fridge door and placed a small metal valve in the hose that was broken when he took the fridge face plate off, due to the strugle when he took it off. He (**) ask for my help to hold the door whyle he screw it back together packd up and proceeded to walk out the door, I ([redacted]) asked him what about the washer and my ceiling and he said oh I have to order a transmission for your washer and here is your husbands money back. and stormed off. I ([redacted]) went to the refrigerator and checked to see if it was fixed and no water or ice was coming out. so I went to the balcony to let him know before he left and all he said is "I know I have to order a part" got into his car and drove off.

We [redacted] & [redacted]) tried calling saturday and sunday and no answer untill Monday morning 7/22/13. Both my husband and I called and the guy on the phone said to my husband that is best to contact some body else and litteraly hung up on my husband. So I ([redacted]) was very angry at the time when I called and he said well its going to be $ 700.00 dollars to fix your fridge and additional $ 700.00 dollars to fix your washer machine. To begin with there was nothing wrong with my fridge the guy **. broke the hose when he struggled to take off the face plate on the bottom of the refrigerator! The guy I spoke to on monday morning said that **. was tired at the time thats why he left in a hurry. and did not feel he had to pass some imformation to me. This is just unbeliebable that someone can just do this. And also said that I got my money back and I should just call someone else.Desired Settlement: Basically I want my refrigerator fixed to the way it was problem free. there was no problem to begin with untill (**) put his hands on it. and my ceiling fixed by some one else not GJR. I just want them to pay for the dammages (**) created I don't care too much for the washer machine because I know there was a small problem to begin with and I am not paying $700.00 dollars for repair when I can buy a whole new one.

Response:

Ms. [redacted],

This a response to complain ID [redacted]. The complain was that the washer machine was not working and that the washer machine flooded the house. Due to this the ceiling already had a stain. I proceeded to check the washer machine that was taken apart by Mr. [redacted]. I reassembled the washer machine which had missing screws. I informed Mr. [redacted] that the washer machine needed a transmission. He stated that he just wanted the machine to last 7 months. I highly recommended him to wash on medium load due to the transmission. After the work I did, I charged him $ 59.50. I Checked his dryer and the vent was clogged with lint. I showed Mr. [redacted] how to clean the tray under the refrigerator and the condenser He stated that he will do it and will also put the kick plate back. The refrigerator was not leaking.

While I was placing my tool in my working truck, Mr. [redacted] offered me some items and I told him that I do not drink alcohol or smoke. I went back to Mr. [redacted] house because I was told that the refrigerator was leaking., I replaced a hose in the refrigerator because probably he broke it while cleaning the bottom of the refrigerator. I informed Mrs. [redacted] that the washer needed a transmission. I foresaw problems with this couple and I return their money after reassembling their washer and cleaning the vent that Mr. [redacted] took apart.

Review: I called GJR to fix my washer. They came out looked at it and said they had fixed the problem they gave me tips on how to maintain my washer so I would not have a problem again. So I paid them $60.00 for them to just spray w40 on a part. I was happy and paid but I asked for a recipe and they said they didn't have any but if anything they remembered me, thought that was fishy but what could I do if they calmed they did not have any and they assured me it was fixed. I went to throw a load of towels in and it was still the same it was not fixed like they said. I called them and they said they would come back and take a look but they never came and I call them and they no longer pick up. Im not sure what kind of business they are running but I would just like my money back and for them to not do business or keep scamming people out of their money.Desired Settlement: I would like my Money back and for them to be shut down. Im not the first customer they scam out of money. NOT OKAY!

Review: on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 I contacted GJR appliance service. I spoke to [redacted] and explained the problem with my washing machine, that the water would not drain after the washing cycle. Once my resident location was established, he stated his technician would meet me at my home at 3:30 pm.,as I was on an errand and would not be home until that time. When I arrived home at 3:20 I called to say I was home ready to meet his technician. He said the technician was in the Spring Valley area and would be at my residence shortly. At 4:30 I called [redacted] again to see what time the technician would arrive. He said within the next few minutes. The technician arrived at 5:05. He inspected my machine and after draining the water he said the problem was repaired. When he started the machine it made a metal on metal grinding sound. He said it sounded like the bearing needed oil. He applied the oil and the noise was still there. He said it may need some grease to fix the problem, but he had no grease with him. When I asked what was causing the noise he said it was a bearing which was attached to the transmission. I asked why it was making the noise now since it was not making that sound before he worked on it. He stated "by going into the motor of the machine I may have accidentally removed the oil/grease in the process." I then asked what it would take to fix the noise. He said he may have to replace the transmission if it was a "one piece part." I asked what would that cost. He stated he would not know until he checked with the parts store to find out. But, it may be around $100.00 OR so." He then left to go to the parts store to find out the cost. The washer was unusable in it's current state. He said he would call me with the price. It was 5:45 at that time. At 6:10 I called [redacted] again and asked what the problem was with the technician getting back to me. He stated, "oh I forgot, the parts store closed at 6:00 pm.You do not allow enough space to fill out the complaint in it's entirety.Desired Settlement: The next morning, April 10, 2013 I had to call them. Since they did not call me, I called them at 9:15. I spoke with Mr. [redacted]. Once he was aware of who I was, he explained the parts for my machine were going to be hard to get. When I asked him why,he said [redacted] is no longer owned by [redacted]. Another company had bought them out. He stated he did know what company had bought [redacted]. He went on to explain, the part I needed should have been serviced, oiled, on a regular basis.

To whom it may correspond:

Thiss is a reponse to the complain regarding Mr.[redacted]. The complain was that the washer machine was not washing, spining and draining. I checked the machine, took the water out of the washer, and clean the pump. After removing quarters from the pump and cleaning it. I was able to fix the complain. The machine was making noise and I gave Mr. [redacted] an estimate of approximately $ 100.00 to fix the noise. .I gave him a free housecall and a free estimate but he refused to get it fix. He stated that the machine was not making the noise before. This concludes my involvement with Mr. [redacted]

Subject: COMPLAINT #[redacted]

Hello Ms. [redacted].

I want to thank you for our phone contact

today. It was interesting to find out how the complaint system

works. Due to that information, I submit the following:

First of all, Mr. [redacted] made statements that were not totally in

truth. His statement left a lot of information out of what happened

regarding our conversation of the repairs of my machine. He mentioned

when I heard the estimate I didn't want to get my machine repaired. He

was mistaken. The only estimate I got was about the cost of the part,

$100.00.

I spoke with Mr. [redacted]. He became

agitated when I called the next morning after the visit of his

technician the evening before. As stated in my complaint. Mr.

[redacted]'s technician was supposed to be at my home at 3:30 PM.

After waiting until 4:00 PM, I called and spoke to Mr. [redacted] again in

regard to the arrival time. He stated "he is in your area right

now and should be there any minute." The technician finally arrived at

4:45 PM. He worked for about an half hour. He started the machine

and it made a sound of metal on metal. The technician said "it was

"probably" a bearing." He bent over the machine

then said "he oiled the bearing, but it may need some grease, and I

don't have any with me." I then mentioned why is it making the

noise and it was not making it before. He stated " there is a

transmission with the bearing and this is what is making the

noise." (THERE WAS NEVER A MENTION OF ANY QUARTERS found inside my

machine. If it were true, this would have been a good time to make that

statement) At this point I was not happy. I asked the technician what

is the cost of the needed part to repair the washer. He stated "

probably around $100.00 I don't know, I have to stop by the parts store and

get the price and will call you back." He left at 5:30

PM. I called around 6:15 PM to ask "[redacted]" what happened to the

technician? He was supposed to call me back with the price of the part

needed to repair the machine. "Oh I forgot, the parts store was

closed." He said he would give me a call in the morning.

The next day I waited until 10:00 am for a call

that never came. When I called their office "[redacted]" explained

"the part you need is going to be hard to find." When I asked

why, he stated "even though it says Maytag on the machine it was not a

Maytag. They were bought out by another company and that company uses

cheaper parts. These parts fail faster than the original

parts." When I asked why did the machine make the noise it was not

making before, he stated that " "I" should have oiled the part

during my possession of the machine, and it would not have

failed." I said "how would I know that

information?" He then stated that "it was common

sense." He stated "when you buy a car don't you have to

change the oil, check the battery and the water?" I said yes, but

I have the knowledge of how to maintain my vehicle, a lot from

experience over the years." A little irate, I asked "how am I

supposed to know how to maintain a washing machine, wouldn't that

information be in the materials that go with the machines

maintenance." He then referred to the company being bought out and

their not including all the information needed to maintain the

machine." Etc. I asked why the salesman didn't share that

information when the machine was purchased. He stated "salesmen

only want to make the sale, they don't know about the maintenance of the

machines." I don't see any other way I could have received that

information when the machine was purchased." When I told him that

didn't make any sense, he became irritated and said "look you got a free

service and estimate, I didn't charge you for that." Yes, and your

technician left my machine in parts. He was supposed to come back and

finish the job." It was at this time he began to rush me off the

phone. I asked when was the technician coming to finish the

job? He didn't answer the question, but continued to rush me off the

phone. He stated "he had other customers calling and he needed to

take their calls." I said what about THIS customer? He hung

up the phone. I called back, he answered the phone. I asked

"why did you hang up in my face?" He hung up again."

I am very confident he will probably deny part,

if not all, of the conversations we had. I understand that this

complaint will not be investigated by the Revdex.com. There is a separate

entity I may use the services of to get an investigation, but they are

separate from the Revdex.com. From that information I can see this "argument"

going on and on and on. I don't want to be involved in bantering back

an forth. He makes a statement, negative to my statement, then I make a

statement negative to his.

Personally, under those circumstances, I

believe when I get the machine repaired, he should be held liable for

the cost of the repairs I had to have done by a different company.

Since we are never going to agree on what happened, it seems the most I can

get out of this experience is to give Mr. [redacted]'s business a BAD MARK with

the Revdex.com. It is not worth going to small claims court to receive

reimbursement of the repairs that would have to be done by another

company.

Thanks for the opportunity to express my

concerns about a company that hangs up on a customer when challenged about

statements that have been made, and how they run their business. If

there was a forum where I could express my experience with this company, I

would gladly make use of such a program. Thanks for your information.

PEACE AND BLESSINGS..... GOD IS STILL ON THE

Response:

This is a response to Mr. [redacted]' Complain # [redacted]

I am very sorry to hear how unsatisfied you are with our services. I spoke to Mrs. [redacted] about a phone conversation that you mention in your response. Probably you must have spoken to somebody else because she stated that she never spoke to you. The technician gave an estimate of approximately $ 100.00 and you refused to receive the services. Your machine was filled with dirty water when technician arrived to your location, and the machine was not working. The technician was there for approximately one hour, the machine was put together at the time of his departure.

This is a series of events that we are not going to agree on. Your desirable outcome regarding this issue is for us to pay for the repairs of your machine. Unfortunately, we do not concur with your desires because your machine was broken prior to our services.

I wish this would of had a different outcome because our goal is to provide satisfaction and quality work to all of our costumers.

Respectfully,

Review: I called this business for a water leak in refrigeration. He put in some parts and we paid immediately, the next day the same problem with the leak. He came out again a few days later and supposedly fixed it but again the same problem, so again he came back and supposedly fixed it . this is since July and the leak is still there . The service provided did not repair the issue, the person performing the repair was not able to really fix the problem. He collected his pay and the problem persist! Now he's ignoring my request for service, his receipt has one year warranty and I continue to call him informing him that the problem is not fixed and he states he will be back to try again but he does not. He put in parts that did not fix the problem!! It appears that he does not know what the problem is and is ignoring my calls. The leak is going to cause damage to my floor, which I will hold him responsible for. I have tried to be reasonable and called in a very professional manner for him to come back and really fix the problem, but he states he will be here at specific times and days and never shows up. I find this business un-reliable and lacking work ethic!Desired Settlement: It is very apparent that he does not know what is wrong with the appliance and cannot fix it! I want him to be ethical and acknowledge he cannot do the repair and give me a refund so I can get another person to fix the problem. I do not want him in my home again.
