Review: I ordered furniture from GK Dept store in [redacted] on 2/**/14 for delivery on 2/**/14. I paid $1000 cash deposit and the balance on 2/**/14 the evening before my delivery. I ordered a media center, coffee table, chaise lounge and an area rug. When the delivery guys came, they only had my media center and chaise. They told me that my coffee table would be delivered that Monday, 3/*. The day after the delivery, 3/*, I was setting up my media center to find that the delivery guys ruined my both my media center and chaise. I was told that my chaise and media center would be replaced/fix on 3/*. My chaise was replaced on 3/**, but they did not fix my media center. My mother visited the store on 3/** about my media center and was told that I needed to send pictures of the damaged pieces...AGAIN. I sent the pictures as requested and followed up on the morning of 3/**. The [redacted] told me that he ordered the replacement for the top and that I should have it within 1 1/2-2 weeks. I called 4/* to follow up and the [redacted] said he would need to check with the manufacturing company and will call me on 4/*. I followed-up on 4/*, only to be told that he needed me to send the pictures again and that he needed to called them again. It's been nearly 2 months since I placed my order.Desired Settlement: I need my replacement without delay or my money back. This ordeal has been disgusting!

Review: I went to G.K Furniture Store on June ** 2015 and ordered a futon frame for the cost of $150.00 I put down a deposit of $100.00 in cash with Fidel an employee and through out time spoke to Joe AKA Owner after the first week trying to schedule a delivery that never happens. I have called several times and no answer now the phone is disconnected and or when I call sometimes I get a recording that states the time warner customer you are trying to reach did not set up there voice mail box please try your call later. All I want is my deposit of $100.00 back and be done with this company, Can you please help.Desired Settlement: CALL ME TO RETURN MY DEPOSIT

Review: I ordered two complete bedroom sets from G.K. Department Stores on 8/**/2013. It took them several deliveries over the course of 8 weeks to deliver the items. Today the delivery guy was suppossed to deliver the last items which are a mirror for my previously delivered dresser,a ladder for previously delivered bunk beds, storage for the bunk bed, and a chest dresser. They did not deliver the chest dresser. They did not install the ladder for the bunk beds and they installed a broken mirror! The delivery guy dropped it and installed it anyway. At first the owner [redacted] instructed the delivery person NOT to assemble anything just to drop it off! After I called and complained to [redacted] he then called the delivery guy and they spoke in what I believe was [redacted]. Moments later the delivery guy began to install the merchandise except for the ladder. How can my kids use the bunk bed without the ladder. The storage for underneath the bunk beds is poorly installed with sharp corners sticking out. When the bunk beds were delivered on a previous occasion the guys were missing a screw for the barrier on the top bunk. They promised to come back the following day but of course that was 4 weeks ago! The top bunk is totally unsafe. Over these 8 weeks [redacted] has promised a delivery each week and never fulfilled his promise. He keeps saying he doesn't want to waste gas driving to Queens. This company is terrible. We were originally given a 1 week delivery time on the date of purchase so we cleared out all of our old furniture. We all slept on mattresses on the floor for weeks waiting for these several deliveries. At one point he even told us to come pick up the merchandise ourselves because he's tired of making several deliveries! He chose to deliver our order in seperate deliveries because he's unorganized and incompetent, My kids bedroom set is totally unsafe and still missing a dresser. Delivery and installation was included in my payment. We have been extremely patient with this company; 8 weeks is more than enough time for the company to deliver and install 2 bedroom sets. The poor assembly of these products are putting my family in danger. The most dangerous part is the company doesn't care.Desired Settlement: I want the dresser for my kids bedroom set and a new mirror for my bedroom set. I also want the ladder for the bunk bed properly installed and for them to fix the botched installation of the storage underneath the bunk bed and the top bunk barrier.

Review: I purchased two counter height brown vinyl stools on August **, 2013. They were delivered 10 days later. The delivery men proceeded to assemble the legs to the seats. The stools were brought in without being protected by a box. When assembled they quickly asked me to sign acceptance and after I tipped them they started to leave when I saw there was a half inch tear in the top of one seat. One delivery man took a picture of it on his cell phone to show [redacted] the man I purchased my chairs from. I immediately called [redacted] and he told me he'd replace it next week. Don't worry. That was NINE weeks ago. Last week he said he'd call the manufacturer but he still hasn't. He said for me to bring the seat to him and he'd exchange it. So he has the seat and I have the legs. When I called today he would not give me the manufacturer's customer service number and he said "Next week" again. So that's the end of my patience and I'm asking for your help.Desired Settlement: All I want is a seat without a tear. I even said I'd pick it up and my husband would assemble it. Second choice: full refund of both stools. (What good is one!) Third choice: I'd take back the damaged stool if he splits the cost with me- $65 back in cash

I am writing to inform you that my complaint against GK Department store in Brooklyn, NY has been resolved. Unfortunately I cannot locate my complaint number. The store owner has replaced the damaged counter stool seat with a new one. Please indicate on his record that I am thoroughly satisfied with the replacement and no longer have an issue against him.

Review: I ordered furniture from G&K Department Store. I have used this business several times. On this occasion I ordered a 6 dresser drawer approximately 3 weeks ago June **, 2013. The dresser was to be delivered to my home on June **, 2013 for a morning delivery. As usual the company did not come to deliver the item. This store is notorious for not following through with delivery. I called the store and then went into the store to find out why my furniture was not delivered. They told me there was a problem at the warehouse, I was fed up and requested my money back. The store manager told me that could not happen and the best he could do was have the furniture delivered on June **, 2013. I was not happy with that answer and told the manager I wanted a refund. He then told me in a very unprofessional manner to get out of his store. Today is June **, 2013 and the dresser was still never delivered and I still have been refused a refund!Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the entire amount of $295 that I have paid for the furniture in cash.

We spoke to him and to his friend we asked Them nicely to deliver vb/c we got The item in store They refused refused. Please tell the customer we want to deliver to him ASAP.
