Glacier Hills Credit Union

This is the worst banking institution I have ever dealt with. My wife and recently transferred two auto loans for a 2012 Ford Fiesta and 2013 Kia Sportage. During the loan application process, there was NO mention that our insurance had to have a maximum $500 deductible. And now we're getting nasty letters saying that if we do not lower our deductible, GHCU will take insurance out for us. My wife and I have excellent credit, make over $100,000 a year and would have no trouble paying our $750 insurance deductible should an accident occur. I didn't realize that GHCU catered to delinquents who wouldn't be able to pay their insurance deductible. PLUS we keep getting letters that GHCU needs to have a copy of our title on file. Which makes sense. However, since we live in Wisconsin (where GHCU is also based), owners do not hold titles in their possession. The bank holds the title. And when I call the Wisconsin DMV to ask that my title be sent to the bank, they say that it has been sent. Horrible bank. I will be transferring my auto loans to another bank this week. I'd rather pay $15 extra dollars a month, than pay higher insurance rates and deal with these is.

My review is for the one located on s military road in fond du lac. I had an older woman w shoulder-length blonde hair with thin bangs set up my account. I'm from Hawaii and I noticed on the form I signed, which was not printed out for me, but rather she moved the monitor so I could see, that she did not check off 'US citizen' and also made a rude gesture about Hawaii. Her younger colleague who seemed more knowledgeable than her, made a remark how 'gina' is from Hawaii also, and the older dirty blonde haired woman with bangs made a face by widening her eyes in a 'yikes' expression. All done in front of me. She did not seem very organized and called me later after I left, failing to describe the nature of the call, but I'm willing to bet that she forgot to give me back my mail to show I live at my residence. Terrible service. She spoke to me in an argumentative tone when describing how glacier banks operates... Terrible customer service. As a result, I am closing my account today since this bank emphasizes the relationship you have with the bank and makes it seem like you need to show your worth rather than what they will do for you and your services. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Review: I applied for a loan and I was told I was approved. All I had to do was sign the paperwork. I gave the person I was dealing with my email address and she told me she was going to email the forms so I can sign them electronically. Well I never received the email with the documents. I have been trying to contact that person for over three weeks now. I have left voicemail message and sent emails. Nothing. No response. I even called the main office and talked to someone else who told me they sent Kate a message and that she would call me after she was done closing with some customers. Again, I received no phone call. This is completely unacceptable. Now I am late on my current loan because I was under the impression Glacier Hills was going to pay off my current bank I have the loan with.Desired Settlement: Someone call me. Email me. SOMETHING!!

Lousy customer service and they always have an excuse for why things didn't get done properly. Poor excuse for a company.
