In regards to the complaint filed by [redacted] on his purchase of his Glacier Icehouse. would like to take the opportunity to explain that Mr. [redacted] ordered his new Glacier thru [redacted] RV and the ordered was received to Glacier on February 27th 2017. Mr. [redacted] new Glacier...

was invoiced and shipped to [redacted] RV RV March 23rd   2017. Mr. [redacted] had the opportunity to look over his new Glacier at the dealership prior to taking possession and also had a walk thru at the dealership prior to taking delivery   which gave him another chance to inspect his new ice house. Once Mr. [redacted] took his new Glacier home he had the opportunity again from the   first day and many days afterward to look over his ice house. Mr. [redacted] called Glacier one month ago and explained to me his concerns about how his Glacier was built and felt that there was wrong doing. Sense Mr. [redacted] wanted us to build his ice house with no   fishing holes but Glacier was to provide the ice holes covers to him for when he drilled his own holes on his own we did just that and sent the covers. The drawing submitted to Glacier was a frame drawing of Ice Castles not a Glacier frame which are not the same frame axles and cross beams are not alike and are very different. We built the icehouse and put the hole lights where the customer wanted them to follow the directions given to us by the customer. In the end after talking to the customer a month ago I explained that we feel bad that he isn't satisfied with his new ice house and if Mr. [redacted] decided to trade in his current ice house for a new one like he stated he was going to do we would put a $ 100.00 credit on his account for a future order. Sean D. I am rejecting this response because:
I purchased the house via [redacted] RV in St. Cloud.  I sent the following email to the sales person stating the holes placement and associated diagram.  In a follow-up discussion with the [redacted] Sales Person he stated the hole placement documented would work.  I was told that Glacier's policy was any hole moving would need to be done by me.  I would reiterate, I was told the hole placement would work and Glacier would move the lights to accommodate.    [redacted] <[redacted]@gmail.com>Attachments3/3/17to Ross I found a floor plan online and tried to update it with my thoughts on the hole placement.  Take a look.  [redacted]Attachments areaRoss [redacted] <R.[redacted]rv.com>3/3/17to me  Looks good to me. I will forward that to Glacier and let you know if they have any issues with putting the lights in those positions.[redacted] <[redacted]@gmail.com>3/3/17to Ross If they have any questions at all, have em give me a call.  The hole placement is critical.  If I need to go to their plant I will.   Thanks.  [redacted]

In the statement above our first response in this matter in edition to the response back from Steve [redacted] the second time our statement this ice house was purchased over a year ago. Our Glacier frames are only made one way and with no deviations nor have any custom build frames have ever been offered by Glacier. The drawing that Steve [redacted] gave to the sales person again was a drawing of an ice castle frame which is completely different from a Glacier frame and are not alike in anyway shape or form. Again I would like to thank everyone for there time in regards to this matter.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/16) */
RE: Case #[redacted]: [redacted]

We are in receipt of your letter dated February 1, 2016 relating to [redacted].

[redacted] was a dealer for Glacier Ice Houses. [redacted] had...

requested that Glacier take back their aged units they have for sale and exchange them for the new product we produce. A business arrangement between a manufacturer and a dealer normally does not involve exchanging product because it has aged or does not sell unless there is an agreement to this effect. There was no agreement for this to happen between [redacted] and Glacier.

Because a manufacturer does not agree to a repurchase request from a dealer does not constitute no support, or dishonesty.

[redacted] claims "[redacted] has now purchased the product line and will not stand behind it". [redacted] has no ownership in Glacier and simply is a dealer for the product. This claim is baseless.
Thanks,
Corey
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/02/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
well Mr. [redacted] is a little off here we as a dealer expect help from vendors we are a dealer for multiple products and this is the only one we have had issues with we have multiple examples saved from us and another past dealer of Glacier where we went weeks waiting for a reply from Mr. [redacted] himself we have to documented lost sales of Glacier Ice Houses that we lost because of no response from Glacier or Corey [redacted] also both Corey and Vern [redacted] have told us that [redacted] are the new owners and are changing the policies and are requiring dealers to order and pay for 10 new units well that is tuff to do with no support on units we have already paid for now they did come back to us and say they would make a exception if we wanted to continue we would only have to order and pay for a part of the 10 because we had been a dealer already ok and all the time we were a dealer supporting the product going to shows bringing the product Corey failed to come to any to help support the product
Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2016/03/11) */
Thank you sending the response to our response from [redacted].
The claim of lack of support is so subjective I find it difficult to respond to as it is quite often ones perspective and not always reality. The bottom line comes down to their request for an exchange of aged products they have not sold. There is no agreement to do this and companies are responsible for retailing products they purchased, not have a manufacturer replace their inventory just because they have not retailed them.
[redacted] is correct that they were offered a new agreement to continue to carry Glacier products since Glacier production was moved back to Minnesota from Indiana with the purchase of the assets last year but they have declined.
As stated in our previous response, [redacted] RV is simply a dealer for Glacier just like [redacted] was.
