Customer contacted us via ***, wanted
us to add and additional 1”x30” strip of fur at no additional
cost to him, we quoted him $more and he said it was too expensive
Customer later returned to purchase
the item on *** but misread the listing (actually stated “he
does
not read descriptions when purchasing on ***”), thought he was
getting multiple units which was further explained that it is only
one item
Customer then purchased three fur
ruffs, one of which was made to a custom size for his wife
Once received, the customer called
stating that one of the ruffs was not the correct size, we explained
in great detail the process in which the item is manufactured:
-that it is cut to size and then sewn
together
-that the final result is and always
has been slightly less than what is listed (seam allowance)
-that this is standard practice in the
fur industry and that the leather can be stretched to fit his
required size
-that we make 1000's of these per year
and have NEVER had one come back for the reason he is stating
All of that being said, we agreed to
have him send it back, and IF indeed it was wrong then we would
refund the customer his shipping fees incurredWhen it came in we
measured it and it was indeed correct and would have worked just fine
for himWe called the customer and he argued that we were wrong and
also mentioned that the fur was not quite as full as he was wanting
We felt that he was just trying to return the product due to this
reason, but made no accusation
Again, for customer satisfaction, we
agreed to manufacture another one for him, free of charge (which is a
custom size he was requesting and normally an additional charge), and
send it to him, again, free of charge
Once the product was completed, we had
four witnesses that all saw the final measurement at 31”x2.5”
(which again in NOT standard and IS a custom size)
Customer received the product and
again claimed that it would not fitAfter a lengthy conversation at
the end of the day (5PM EDT) with the owner of our company, he was
directed to bring the ruff to a furrier and have it put on his
jacket, not a regular seamstress, someone that knows how to work with
fur and leather productsHe responded the following morning
stating that “it cannot be stretched” and that he wanted us to
make yet another ruff for him
At this point, it was decided that due
to the customers lack of knowledge with this product it would best
for both parties if we have the customer return the product for a
full refundThat afternoon we received the Revdex.com complaint, no word
from the customer regarding the refund, only that he wants a further
discount on yet another item
We have been in business for 25+ years
and have made fur ruffs for major apparel companies across the globe
as well private customers, none of which has complained as of yet
We do not feel we have wronged this customer nor have we earned this
Revdex.com complaintIn fact, we have tried at length to satisfy this
customerIt comes down to the simple fact that the customer is
attempting to alter his jacket, has not done it before, has never
used such a product as ours, does not know how to work with the
product, will not take any direction on how to work with it, and
refuses to bring it to someone that does know how to work with this
product

Once again, this complainant has little to no knowledge of the product he is trying to use, despite many attempts on our end to assist him.  We stand steadfast behind what was originally sent, which a true and very accurate account of this transaction leading up to this Revdex.com complaint (I will attach yet another copy).  We offered a FULL REFUND to this complainant as his lack of knowledge and unwillingness to listen to advice on how to use said product has lead him to believe we are misleading him.  This not true.  He claims his "fur maker guy" says not to stretch the fur ruff, when in fact, it is common practice and is strongly advised to do so in the fur industry (it is called "Stretching" or "Blocking"), and any knowledgeable Furrier would say the same.  We cannot waste any more time or material trying to satisfy a customer who has no working knowledge on how to use this product.  We will still offer a FULL REFUND (which is against our policy as this is a custom made piece at this point), and he can send the item back. Once received we will refund him, including shipping and handling, which brings me to the next point. Complainant claims we did not refund his original shipping. I personally processed his refund for shipping and I have a PayPal "Unique transaction ID #" showing this.   Refund (Unique Transaction ID # [redacted]).  Interesting that this complainant brings up our Ebay listing.  As I expressed in the original response, he stated that he does not read the descriptions of the products when making purchases.  The picture in question does have two fur ruffs in it because we offer two different sizes (a 30" and a 24").  It is strongly noted in the description that when purchased, customers only receive ONE FUR RUFF SIMILAR TO THE ONE IN THE PICTURE.  As a customer based company, we have no reason to be dishonest and have made attempts to appease this customer to no end.  His complaint is unfounded and untrue.  In fact, this complainant shows his lack of integrity in this situation when he claims we did not refund his shipping as "promised". I have given proof of this refund.  Furthermore, this complainant has gone to great length to discredit our company.  He has posted negative, dishonest, untrue remarks on our Ebay store, attempting to sway other customers away from purchasing from us (which I have contacted Ebay and they have removed  because they were seen as "abusive" and were unfounded).  Complainant has also filed a complaint with the Department of Justice in the state of Montana (which we do not reside in), in which he makes the same false accusations.  This is bordering on harassment and as such this will be our final response to this complainant.  In closing, I will reiterate, we offer a FULL REFUND for this purchase; all the complainant has to do is send the item back, which he is refusing to do.  This could have been resolved over a month ago and both parties could have moved on instead of spending more and more time and effort only to come to the same conclusion. With a serious lack of knowledge of the product and unwillingness to learn, ANY customer is going to have problems trying to use this or any other product for that matter. Our return policy is and always has been 30 days from receipt of the product, and product must be in new condition.  I will honor this refund offer for another 2 weeks from today, Friday, October 23 2015, anything beyond November 6, 2015 I cannot refund.

Regards,
[redacted] Once again, not true.  I purchased 2 regular size and 1 custom size furs. One regular and custom was ok. One regular was to short. I called the manufacturer and emailed pictures which shown length difference. I asked them to exchange and if it was possible find some nice one. They agreed to exchange and pay s&h fees which was not posted on my credit card yet. When they received  fur told me my measuring tape  I used was wrong because fur was ok.  They exchange the fur (it is very nice!) but this time the width was wrong. I emailed the pictures with two measuring tapes to show the size is wrong. They said it is ok and I can stretch it.  I spoke with my fur maker guy and he said  I cannot stretch it because it will shrink and deform the hood.  I called them and they say fur is ok and they can only exchange it. I called them and told them to exchange fur and make it as advertised measurements which they denied. The measurement should be  2.5" x 30"  minimum, the second send for they said was 31" length but actually is barely over 30” and 2”  width. I have proof of our conversation if needed.   I only want what I paid for and right  measurements.I include the pictures of  the size difference between one which is right and the one is wrong size.

Review: I ordered coyote furs 30" x 2.5" in order to change fur on my parka hoods and I need measurement not less than 30" x 2.5 in order to fit which it was advertised. One fur was ok. The other fur I received was to short (about 29.5") I called company they asked me to ship it back and they promised to cover shipping costs. They ship another fur to exchange, but this time there was problem with the width it was much less than 2.5" and on the ends less even than 2". When I contacted them again they told me they would not exchange it again only they would give me refund when I send it back. Their add is 30"x 2.5" which I ordered and paid for. I have pictures of both furs and proof that sizes differ from size promised ( on the fur is written 31" and 2.5, but actual size is different!).Desired Settlement: I need what I ordered and pay for. Measurements not less than 30" x 2.5" 31" x 2 3/4 as I was promised ( not stretched) nice looking thick new fur, paid shipping. Email pictures of the fur and proof the size is as promised. Nice discount would be appropriate as a compensation .
