[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The Vehicle was purchased at 7:pm February 19th the title was given to me with the bill of sale on March 5th the same day I canceled the service contractThey should be able to provide an amended bill of sale, as the accuracy is incorrectI am being charged sales tax for a product that was canceleda grand total of days of sale to paperworkthe paperwork was given to me when I went in to cancel the service contract the day before is when the paperwork cam e to me from ***, I spoke to them about cancelling and was advised to go in to the dealer, I did as instructedits not like I waited a month Regards, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] had his Dodge Ram with in excess of 200,miles towed in on Nov3, for recalls and a no start condition We were informed by Mr [redacted] when the truck arrived it had been a at least two other repair shops lately for similar issues When the truck arrived the battery was dead Connected a battery charger and found no communication between the PCM (computer) and start systems Initially found damaged PCM connectors Made that repair to go to the next step which is crank no startVehicle had computer fault codes Initial step was to replace a bad camshaft sensor At this point the truck would start and run but ran very poorly and had an internal knocking sound We put the vehicle on hold to contact Mr [redacted] for approval to proceed further in diagnosis of further problems When attempting to restart the vehicle it would not re-start due to fuel soaked, smashed electrode and miss-matched spark plugs from previous repair attemptsReplaced the spark plugs to assure proper spark delivery Removed the covers for the valve train and discovered that cylinder #had at the very least a bad camshaft/valve lifter At this point since it would require engine disassembly Mr [redacted] declined any further disassembly and diagnosis Mr [redacted] has requested a refund of the repairs/diagnosis of his vehicle which he admitted to our staff that he has had looked at a multiple repair shops with no resolution Due to our informing Mr [redacted] along the way of what was needed to step further into the diagnosis and discovery of the problems with his truck we would decline to make this refund He was more than aware of the many of problems that existed on this truck and elected to have Gladstone perform a deep diagnosis of the problems left in-diagnosed by the previous repair facilities he has had the truck to Gladstone will decline to make the refund of the diagnosis and the repairs attempted to come to the final conclusion that his truck had major internal engine problems He declined any further repair options and had his truck removed from the service department

I am rejecting this response because:When I had my vehicle taken from the Dodge dealership they told me it would crank but could not be drivenI had it towed home and then I went to crank it and it would not turn n or turn over when crankedThe security light was on and I cannot do anything to it because it will have to be taken to a dealership to have the security light turned offI spoke with the mechanic at the dealership and he told me personally that the truck would crank but had a knock and could not be drivenThe spark plugs did not need to be replaced because I have the receipt showing what spark plugs were purchased and installedA vehicle does not need a tune up when it doesn't runThe service person (Sonny) told me they had the truck running but needed a tune up because it was running rough.When I got there the lifter covers were not on the engine but the mechanic said it would crank but he never cranked it to show me and when it got to my house it would not even turn on because the security system had not been reset and you can do nothing with it onIf they had it running then the security system should not have been on and the vehicle should have crankedThis is typical of dealerships that charge for labor but they never work when you get it back.

We have reached out to Mr*** to resolve the issues of concern

Ms*** and Mr*** Purchased a Chevrolet in September of 2015. At the time they purchased an extended warranty for $1,985.00. Sometime in the next couple of months there was some issue with the truck and it was taken to a local dealership for repairs. After the
repairs were made and the extended warranty paid out claims for some coverage Ms*** filed to cancel the remainder of the warranty for a refund we believe in late December or early January 2016. The company that administers the extended warranty calculated the refund due and issued check for $payable to Gladstone and the bank. Gladstone forwarded the fund to *** *** ** *** *** on February 2, 2016. The calculation used takes into account the claims against the coverage and time expired with an estimate of miles. In this case after the claims that were paid the a calculation applied the refund allowed was for the $760.58. Ms*** has received the full amount allowable under the cancellation policy of the extended warranty and it has been applied to the existing loan balance. Ms*** has received the full amount owed due at the time of the cancellation of the policy

In response to the complaint. We have reviewed this purchase with both the lender and the state of Missouri. In the case of the lender the loan could not have been obtained without the Chaplain being on the loan and the co-buyer. As for the state of Missouri if the loan and all
paperwork is done with a co-buyer as in this instance it is state law that the title work be prepared in the proper manner in which we completed it. There is no legal way to prepare the title work any other way. We regret that the Chaplain is not happy but we followed the law was we do with every sale we make

They should be able to provide an amended bill of sale, as the accuracy is incorrect. I am being charged sales tax for a product that was canceled... a grand total of 14 days of sale to paperwork.. the paperwork was given to me when I went in to cancel the service contract the day before is when the paperwork cam e to me from [redacted], I spoke to them about cancelling and was advised to go in to the dealer, I did as instructed. its not like I waited a month.

Gladstone does not owe and will not refund $1113 to Ms. [redacted].  The claims made and paid and the time and mileage used during the contract effective dates calculates to the amount already refunded.  Gladstone has met its obligation and will not provide any additional refund.

I am rejecting this response because: Upon contacting [redacted] several times personally, they stated that both them and the dealership owed a portion of the refund. [redacted] sent their portion. The dealership still owes us $1113 approximately. I checked several times to see if I was correct. [redacted] stated they sent their portion to the dealership, so the dealership could then attach THEIR portion and forward it to the bank (CONTAINING BOTH REFUNDS). They stated to have the dealership contact them to find out exactly how much they needed to send. Regards,
