I am writing a complaint about unethical business practices I experienced with Shekiba N and her business GlambyShekiba, LLC. I am requesting my money back for services not rendered.

On April 3, 2019, I paid a deposit for a trial because the Shekiba N, a hair and makeup artist, would not let me book a trial with her unless I did that. However, she designated the money would also go towards the wedding day hair and makeup package. She never stated in our message history or verbally that it was a non-refundable deposit. She then took a separate amount for the trial itself on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

However, when I decided I did not want her services for my wedding day, she refused to return the money that would have gone towards the wedding day package. On top of that, she demanded I pay her more money according to a contract neither one of us signed.

Throughout the whole process, she was incredibly disorganized by scheduling the wrong dates and lacked clear communication skills and proper follow-ups. She kept moving my trial date that was supposed to occur in the summertime to eventually having the trial two weeks before the wedding. She tried to upsell me her branded products when I was in her studio and tried to coerce me into paying her money for those products to use on the wedding day before I left her studio, which I refused.

Shekiba N refuses to give me the money back for services not being rendered. I am not requesting money back from the trial service she performed, I am requesting my deposit/money back that was designated for a wedding day hair and makeup package.
