Dear *** ***
I have received the information from our consumerThe incident’s id number is *** *nd occurred 9/16/but was reported the following day 9/17/I have also sent the reply as an attachment just in caseI hope that this response leaves no doubt
Thank you for your time and please do let us know if you have any further questions
I appreciate that *** is just and takes no parts on the validity of this complaintThis incident did take place on the date as listed aboveThe validity of the actual date and the fact that we did inform our customer that strollers are not allowed into the store’s isles is trueHowever, as expected, many of the other issues raised in this complaint are not factual Before I go begin explaining the fact about this event, I would like to address that La Pulga #respects and appreciates each and every one of our consumers/customersAs every business has certain rules in order to provide their services, so do weSigns of each rule or guideline are posted in the entry way of the storeThis gives the potential consumer to decide whether they wish to respect those rules and receive our services or no disagree and refuse our servicesEvery business has the right to refuse services to anyoneWe do our best to inform all potential consumers of these rules in the best way possible if they so happen to not read before enteringWe are also conscious that not all consumers will agreeThis is the first time that a consumer refused the rules of the store in such a way that required us to tell her personally that we did have the right to refuse our services if she would not abide by them
The issues raised in this event where taken place on the date of 9/16/14, the consumer was politely addressed by the cashierThe consumer was addressed inside the entry way of the store, before she could go into the isles, that strollers where not allowed in storeShe was also told that she had the option to keep the stroller, along with her child within the stroller [of course], in front each isle she was in but not in the actual isleWe did NOT ask the consumer to leave the strollers outside the store but within the storeShe alone with her friend refused to do so and decided to reject the advise we had given and the rules that this store has and went on to shopping with the full size strollers in the isleThey where accompanied by other family members which offered to take care of the child with the stroller but the consumer refused their offer and continued to go in the isle further inThe cashier ,not knowing how to react to such action, informed the supervisorThe supervisor’s choice to address the consumer about the issue was her dutyShe once again informed the consumer that strollers are not allowed in store but that she could keep the stroller outside the isle; but that the strollers where not allowed inside the isleShe and the company she brought once again refused to do so and kept shopping and complaining to the supervisorThe supervisor informed that if they did not wish to abide the stores rules, they did have that option in the entry wayThe supervisor further explained that because they refuse to to cooperate, the store had the rights to refuse our services to themPlease understand that the issue in this incident that required us to insist was that the consumer had the option to agree with the rules of the store or to refuse the stores rules and it services by making the choice of leaving the store when entering the storeThe customer decided to purchase some items and leave a while afterThe company she brought kept making argument that had been already explained and spoke in an instigative mannerShe proceeded to take pictures of the signs that we DID HAVE and do have in display at the ENTRANCE OF the store and argued on to the supervisor in an instigative mannerThe supervisor as well as the cashier reacted as any other human would have reacted yet they did their best to remain professionalI understand how they could see the insisting of this rules as disrespectful but our team members where just doing as they have been told to doAlso, I believe it is understandable that as our employees may not have been completely cool toned since such a situation is difficult to deal with specifically if they where only following the rules from their point of viewThe employees have been addressed about this issue, they have received a under stable disciplinary action and have been further trained how to properly inform a customer in an improved and more efficient way
We understand the viewpoint that our consumer has and in no way did we mean to, nor was it our purpose, to give the wrong idea of our insistingAs mentioned below every business has rules and the rules we have such as no food or drink, no strollers is also one of themThis rule was applied to our business due to a variety of past incidents that included strollersA most of the incidents involved robbery but also included the size of the strollers being full size and/or oversized strollers and other customers coming through the isles not fitting or getting in the way of other consumersNow the rule ,that No Strollers are not allowed, has options as mentioned above to simply keep the stroller right in front of the islesWe understand that may not seem like enough to some consumers but they are given that choiceIn no way is this rule biased or only applied to some, we attempt to do our best on properly communicating such rules and that is why we have the signs that apply to each and every consumerUnfortunately, we can not allow strollers into the shop due past incidents as mentioned aboveWe will strive to improve our communication as a shop and each and every employee will be taught to address such issues with an improved mannerNo employee will be fired since they where following the duties they where told to doPlease do keep in mind that this was the first time a consumer has made the decision to go in the store while already have been told that was not allowedTherefore our reaction may not have been the best due to not expecting this situation

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. In response to the business’ response, I appreciate it but they can honor the original price of the product at issue and allow me to purchase it at the sticker price that was on the bottle when I tried to purchase but was told it was much higher and refused to sell it to me for the sticker price. After all, the product had a sticker price on it and regardless of how different “like” products they had - they still didn’t honor the price on the product I brought to the cash register.

Review: On September 16 2014 I visited The Pulga 2 as I usually do (2 times per week) this time I took a couple of friends and family with me as they we're excited to purchase from them as well, as I entered with my newborn sleeping in his stroller, the lady at the register told us that we could not enter with stroller, that I could leave my son parked by the outside door. I told her I would not do such thing! My baby is sleeping and I needed to shop for a few things (which I didn't buy) because they were beyond rude! Even though I was told I could not enter with my child, I proceeded anyways as this rule is ridiculous! They all know me as a frequent shopper, some even by first name. As I proceeded shopping, another employee names [redacted] stood in front of my stroller preventing me to move any further. She refused to move out my way and said we couldn't be in the store with stroller. She proceeded mouthing off my friend telling her she would refuse service and that we needed to move stroller towards outside door. Mind it's been 90-100 degrees!!! She said the stroller is too big, so if a handclap person wheeled in, would they be asked to leave there wheelchair outside? Who would be responsible for my 450 dollar stroller if it were stolen? Them? This needs to change! It is ridiculous that us mothers are being asked to leave stroller at the door! We can't shop holding a newborn with one hand, a basket in the other and still trying to pick up products to buy! It's ridiculous and inhumane!Desired Settlement: They need to allow strollers into shop! We mothers are not going to leave strollers unattended SPECIALLY when our children are sleeping in them! Staff needs to learn the meaning of respecting your costumes! [redacted] was being VERY rude! She should be fired! My friend time her she should be talking back to customers and she would be quiet! Kept mouthing us all of and rolling her eyes being completely disrespectful!

Response:

Dear [redacted]

I have received the information from our consumer. The incident’s id number is [redacted]nd occurred 9/16/2014 but was reported the following day 9/17/14. I have also sent the reply as an attachment just in case. I hope that this response leaves no doubt. Thank you for your time and please do let us know if you have any further questions.

I appreciate that [redacted] is just and takes no parts on the validity of this complaint. This incident did take place on the date as listed above. The validity of the actual date and the fact that we did inform our customer that strollers are not allowed into the store’s isles is true. However, as expected, many of the other issues raised in this complaint are not factual. Before I go begin explaining the fact about this event, I would like to address that La Pulga #2 respects and appreciates each and every one of our consumers/customers. As every business has certain rules in order to provide their services, so do we. Signs of each rule or guideline are posted in the entry way of the store. This gives the potential consumer to decide whether they wish to respect those rules and receive our services or no disagree and refuse our services. Every business has the right to refuse services to anyone. We do our best to inform all potential consumers of these rules in the best way possible if they so happen to not read before entering. We are also conscious that not all consumers will agree. This is the first time that a consumer refused the rules of the store in such a way that required us to tell her personally that we did have the right to refuse our services if she would not abide by them.

The issues raised in this event where taken place on the date of 9/16/14, the consumer was politely addressed by the cashier. The consumer was addressed inside the entry way of the store, before she could go into the isles, that strollers where not allowed in store. She was also told that she had the option to keep the stroller, along with her child within the stroller [of course], in front each isle she was in but not in the actual isle. We did NOT ask the consumer to leave the strollers outside the store but within the store. She alone with her friend refused to do so and decided to reject the advise we had given and the rules that this store has and went on to shopping with the full size strollers in the isle. They where accompanied by other family members which offered to take care of the child with the stroller but the consumer refused their offer and continued to go in the isle further in. The cashier ,not knowing how to react to such action, informed the supervisor. The supervisor’s choice to address the consumer about the issue was her duty. She once again informed the consumer that strollers are not allowed in store but that she could keep the stroller outside the isle; but that the strollers where not allowed inside the isle. She and the company she brought once again refused to do so and kept shopping and complaining to the supervisor. The supervisor informed that if they did not wish to abide the stores rules, they did have that option in the entry way. The supervisor further explained that because they refuse to to cooperate, the store had the rights to refuse our services to them. Please understand that the issue in this incident that required us to insist was that the consumer had the option to agree with the rules of the store or to refuse the stores rules and it services by making the choice of leaving the store when entering the store. The customer decided to purchase some items and leave a while after. The company she brought kept making argument that had been already explained and spoke in an instigative manner. She proceeded to take pictures of the signs that we DID HAVE and do have in display at the ENTRANCE OF the store and argued on to the supervisor in an instigative manner. The supervisor as well as the cashier reacted as any other human would have reacted yet they did their best to remain professional. I understand how they could see the insisting of this rules as disrespectful but our team members where just doing as they have been told to do. Also, I believe it is understandable that as our employees may not have been completely cool toned since such a situation is difficult to deal with specifically if they where only following the rules from their point of view. The employees have been addressed about this issue, they have received a under stable disciplinary action and have been further trained how to properly inform a customer in an improved and more efficient way.

We understand the viewpoint that our consumer has and in no way did we mean to, nor was it our purpose, to give the wrong idea of our insisting. As mentioned below every business has rules and the rules we have such as no food or drink, no strollers is also one of them. This rule was applied to our business due to a variety of past incidents that included strollers. A most of the incidents involved robbery but also included the size of the strollers being full size and/or oversized strollers and other customers coming through the isles not fitting or getting in the way of other consumers. Now the rule ,that No Strollers are not allowed, has options as mentioned above to simply keep the stroller right in front of the isles. We understand that may not seem like enough to some consumers but they are given that choice. In no way is this rule biased or only applied to some, we attempt to do our best on properly communicating such rules and that is why we have the signs that apply to each and every consumer. Unfortunately, we can not allow strollers into the shop due past incidents as mentioned above. We will strive to improve our communication as a shop and each and every employee will be taught to address such issues with an improved manner. No employee will be fired since they where following the duties they where told to do. Please do keep in mind that this was the first time a consumer has made the decision to go in the store while already have been told that was not allowed. Therefore our reaction may not have been the best due to not expecting this situation.
