To whom it may concernI am writing to respond to this Revdex.com complaintWe here at Harvey's take customer service very seriouslyWe were made aware of an issue with a vehicle we sold that had a check engine light on after our customer had taken deliveryThe vehicle was inspected before the sale as all of our vehicles areThis vehicle went through a thorough inspection and because it had under 100k miles and was no more than years old and had no lights on the dash or any problems detected it qualified for our Limited Lifetime Powertrain WarrantyThis warranty is included for our customers at no costOnce our customer took delivery we were told the check engine light came onWe advised the customer to come in and we would fix any issues at no cost to the customerWhen the customer brought the vehicle in we gave them a loaner car at no cost and we again checked the vehicle for the check engine light being onWe determined that the vehicle needed a catalytic converterWe changed it to see if that fixed the issueIt did notSo we put another converter and new gaskets on the vehicle which fixed the issueCustomer took vehicle back and had it a few days then said the check engine light was back onWe brought vehicle back in and gave customer a loaner car again free of charge and this time replaced the timing chain and brake assist boosterAfter changing all of this at no cost to the customer we topped off all fluids and changed oil and filter free of chargeAt no time did we put in a new engine or anything that was statedWe went above and beyond and fixed every issue that we found and asked our customer to pay nothingWe gave free transportation to the customer as wellWe feel very sorry that these issues happened to this particular customer and that is why we corrected each issue and asked for nothing in returnWe have all of our service tickets to support what I have written in this email if you would like to see them let me know.Thank you,George Harvey JR

To whom it may concern,We have not seen the vehicle since this complaintWe will offer to inspect the vehicle and go over every issue once again free of charge to the customer as well as provide another loaner vehicle for themWe will go over invoices and re check all work that we have done to make sure it is correctIf that does not satisfy the customer we offer to have them trade the vehicle in on a new to them vehicle

IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THIS HAS ESCALADED THIS FARWE RECIEVED THE VEHICLE AFTER SOMEONE ELSE HAD BEEN WORKING ON IT THE DIAGNOSISED PROGRESSED AS THE CUSTOMER WAS INFORMED AT ALL STAGESWE DID NOT KNOW THE PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL WE DETERMINED WHAT THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WASAS STATED IN PREVIOUS EMAIL WE DID FIND DAMAGED WIRING FROM PREVIOUS REPAIR ATTEMPTS BY SOMEONE ELSEONCE REPAIRS WERE MADE TO PROPRELY DIAGNOSIS VEHICLE THAT WHEN WE FOUND OUT THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR REPAIRSAS FOR HER PARTS SHE REQUESTED WE DO STILL HAVE THEM ON SITEWE REGRET THAT THE PARTS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLLE TO PROPERLY REPAIR VEHICLE BUT THIS IS NO FAULT OF DEALER THAT GM NO LONGER SUPPLIES THESE PARTSWE DID INFORM THE CUSTOMER THAT THE VEHICLE DID START AND WAS RUNNING WHEN LEFT DEALER WE HAD NO IDEA HOW LONG IT COULD RUN IT PRESENT CONDITIONWE FEEL THAT THE DEALER HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG IN THIS SITUATION

I was under the impression my vehicle would be repaired and inspected which is why the parts and work done was authorized and it was not When the vehicle was picked up I was told it would run and I made it miles from the dealership and the vehicle died while driving on the road There is no way anyone would authorize $1,in repairs to a vehicle they had to tow home and leave sitting in the driveway because it would never be able to be inspected again due to parts not being available If I had been told that from the start I wouldn't have authorized any repairs

I have attached copies of invoices as well as my OnStar vehicle review although MrHarvey has said he has all the documentation to prove his pointsThese invoices prove first that it took three unsuccessful visits to the service department to even get them to test drive the car after calling me at work to say the car had be fixed once againEach invoice shows that only mile was added to my mpg from the mileage in to the mileage out at each visitIf they had test driven the car they would have seen the engine light reappear as it did for me only miles out from the dealership two separate timesNot to mention the dealer is a minute drive each time for methe most recent invoice on 10/states some of the work they completedMy initial complaint stated that I was TOLD by the service department they "practically rebuilt the engine" because of all they had to fixThe invoice states "Installed oil and filter" as well as the man who called and told me when I picked up that they went ahead and did an oil change because of the leak they found while fixingThis was at milesHowever, three weeks later at 104,miles which you see on my diagnostic report there is 5% oil remaining oil lifeMy engine light came back on 11/17/and taking the vehicle to *** *** on 11/18/revealed there was no oil left in the vehicle at allIt is impossible they did an oil change between 10/20-10/and by 11/there was no oil remaining unless there was another leak, which was not the caseNothing had been leaking from the vehicleThis discrepancy among many others seems to be yet another falsehood from the service departmentAttached is also the comment from our salesman that the first man working on our vehicle had been fired As far as complaints, we were only able to get a loaner vehicle on of the occasions because "they did not have one available." This was even after our salesman, *** ***, had called and complained to the service department to make sure we did get oneFrom 10/20-10/27, the longest time they had the vehicle in one period, we did not have a loaner vehicle We have been given the run around, given information, and treated unfairly from the very beginning with this vehicle purchaseThere seems to be a major issues between the sales department and the service department which consistently gave us contradicting information and overall left us with a vehicle that still has an engine light onHow long will this continue to be accepted? Yes the initial work was done complimentary but in the long run the MPG has not improved meaning there are remaining issues with the vehicle and likely were missed by the service department when they passed the vehicle`s inspection originallyEven with a lifetime warranty this vehicle continues to have problemsIf allowing this to go on from July to December is customer service than Harvey's really need to reconsider their definition of customer service
