CUSTOMER VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO US ON 3/9 FOR A NO START CONDITION. WE GOT TO THE INITIAL DIAGNOSIS AND FOUNDBATTERY SHORTED NO VOLTAGE AVAILABLE. CUSTOMER SUPPLIED NEW BATTERY FOR DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE. ONCE NEW BATTERY INSTALLED FOUND IGN SWITCH BINDING AND IGN HOUSING RACK BROKEN. REPLACE REQUIRED...

PARTS AND VEHICLE WOULD START. VEHICLE DID HAVE SEVERAL OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUES AT THIS POINT. CONTACT CUSTOMER AND INFORMED OF FINDINGS AND RECIEVED AUTHORIZATION TO DIAGNSOSIS ELECTRICAL CONCERNS. UPON INSPECTION FOUND WIRING CUT AND SPLICED BACK TOGETHER DURING PREVIOUS REPAIRS PERFORMED BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN HARVEY CHEVROLET PICTURES INCL. CONTACT CUSTOMER AND INFORMED OF FINDING WITH WIRING CONCERNS AND RECIEVED AUTHORIZATION TO COMPLETE WIRING REPAIRS SO DIAGNSOSIS COULD CONTINUE. REPAIR WIRING AND PERFORMED DIAG FOUND CENTRAL POWER SUPPLY SHORTED SUPPLYING 3 TIMES NEEDED VOLTAGE TO NEEDED MODULES. ONCE FOUND THIS INSPECTED HVAC MODULE AND INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER FOUND SHORTED DUE TO EXCESSIVE VOLTAGE BEING SUPPLIED. RAN PARTS LOCATOR IN GM NETWORK AND FOUND NO NEW PARTS AVAILABLE DUE TO AGE OF  VEHICLE. ALSO CONTACTED LOCAL USED PARTS SUPPLIERS FOR AVAILBABILITY NONE TO BE FOUND AT THIS TIME. INFORMED CUSTOMER OF FINDINGS AND INFORMED THAT VEHICLE WOULD START AND RUN BUT WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. VEHICLE COULD BE OPERATED BUT MANY FEATURES WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE AND NOT SURE WHAT RESULTS WOULD HAPPEN BY RUNNING VEHICLE THIS WAY. CUSTOMER PICKED VEHICLE UP AND LEFT DEALER. CUSTOMER CONTACTED DEALER THAT VEHICLE HAD STOPPED RUNNING. DEALER OFFERED TO PICK UP VEHICLE AND CHECK TO SEE IF WE COULD DO ANYTHING BUT PARTS NEEDED WERE STILL NOT AVAILBLE. CUSTOMER DECIDED TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED TO HOME. I KNOW THIS SAYS THIS IS A SECOND NOTICE BUT DEALER HAS NOT RECIEVED ANY INFORMATION ON THIS CLAIM PRIOR TO TODAY!!!!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that the latter resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

To whom it may concern. I am writing to respond to this false Revdex.com complaint. We here at Harvey's take customer service very seriously. We were made aware of an issue with a vehicle we sold that had a check engine light on after our customer had taken delivery. The vehicle was inspected before the...

sale as all of our vehicles are. This vehicle went through a thorough inspection and because it had under 100k miles and was no more than 10 years old and had no lights on the dash or any problems detected it qualified for our Limited Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is included for our customers at no cost. Once our customer took delivery we were told the check engine light came on. We advised the customer to come in and we would fix any issues at no cost to the customer. When the customer brought the vehicle in we gave them a loaner car at no cost and we again checked the vehicle for the check engine light being on. We determined that the vehicle needed a catalytic converter. We changed it to see if that fixed the issue. It did not. So we put another converter and new gaskets on the vehicle which fixed the issue. Customer took vehicle back and had it a few days then said the check engine light was back on. We brought vehicle back in and gave customer a loaner car again free of charge and this time replaced the timing chain and brake assist booster. After changing all of this at no cost to the customer we topped off all fluids and changed oil and filter free of charge. At no time did we put in a new engine or anything that was stated. We went above and beyond and  fixed every issue that we found and asked our customer to pay nothing. We gave free transportation to the customer as well. We feel very sorry that these issues happened to this particular customer and that is why we corrected each issue and asked for nothing in return. We have all of our service tickets to support what I have written in this email if you would like to see them let me know.Thank you,George Harvey JR

To whom it may concern,We have not seen the vehicle since this complaint. We will offer to inspect the vehicle and go over every issue once again free of charge to the customer as well as provide another loaner vehicle for them. We will go over invoices and re check all work that we have done to make sure it is correct. If that does not satisfy the customer we offer to have them trade the vehicle in on a new to them vehicle.
