  I am dropping this complaint.  The reason being...

that I liked the two technicians that came out to do the service.  They where nice.  I do not appove of the office staff's service.

Review: Glass America came out to do a chip repair. They spent one 5 minutes filling the crack with epoxy. No UV light was used and the repair came out looking no better than before. I realize that not all glass repairs turn out the same. However, this was the quickest repair, I have ever experienced. I was given no paperwork and when I called the office, the person there was not capable of emailing it to me. I will never use the Newburgh, NY branch of Glass America again.Desired Settlement: Provide me with the paperwork as promised. I have reported the issue to State Farm insurance.

Review: My car's windshield was replaced by "[redacted]" from Glass America on January **.

I paid him by check and he promised an immediate receipt by email.

NO receipt has ever come by email.

I have called the company in Newburgh and was promised a receipt.

I have communicated with the home office as well.

To no avail.

My check has been posted at the bank but I still have no receipt and the endorsement on the back side

of my check is non-existant. Without a receipt, I have no proof of warranty nor do I have any proof that

my payment was ever received by Glass America

I paid for the new winshield.

Further, there is a wind sound coming from the windshield area, when the car is going at high speed

as though the seal around the edge is incomplete.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE A RECEIPT FOR MY PAYMENT OF MORE THAN $300 FOR MY WNIDSHIELD REPLACEMENT.

and an explanation for why I did not get one at the time of service.

And I would like a warranty and an explanation of the windy/hissing sound coming from the Windshield.

They repaired the windshield that had been replaced and not sealed properly.

However, I still have not received a receipt for my fee, I paid for over $300.sy

Have you ever heard of a business that can't give a receipt?
