shotty repair work[redacted]Desired Settlement[redacted]Business Response We replaced the front windshield of customers vehicle. At the same time we also replaced the back glass. During the removal process we made note to the very poor condition of the vehicle and its high mileage. During the reinstallation of the back glass we notified the customer he was missing several parts in order for us to do a proper re-install. We offered to supply these parts at an additional cost. [redacted] declined and said he would take care of it himself. All parts that we couldn't use because of their condition or age was left in the rear cargo area of the vehicle. Several days after [redacted] picked up his vehicle he called and asked where were several items he couldn't locate. We explained where they were in his vehicle. He then called back and said he found them. His vehicle is a 1999 Ford Explorer with very high mileage, over 200,000. Items wear out and need to be replaced. We tried to contact [redacted] and correct any issues but he has been unresponsive. We installed both pieces of glass and made the back glass as safe as possible, considering there were parts missing and we couldn't complete all steps needed to insure a proper installation.

Asking them to finish the job that I paid them to do or refund the money that I have already been charged on my credit card.Had 2 large windows replaced because of existing cracks. One was fine. The second window had a crack in it. When I called The Glass [redacted], I was told it was only a small crack and should not expand at all. If it did, the would replace window. I said that is why I had window replaced to begin with. Why would I want to replace a cracked window with another cracked window?? [redacted] said they would not replace even though their contract with me states, "Thank you for your business and your trust. Lifetime warranty on our workmanship". The window size is 48"x58" and 1/4" thick and tinted. The second window was bigger and the total for the job was $1215.00. I had to pay 1/2 up front by credit card and the other half was charged the day of installation before I could check out completion. I notified them of my displeasure immediately, and then called my credit card company. They refuse to do anything about it.Desired SettlementI asked them to replace the window, since that is what I paid them to do. They refused. I am asking that 1/2 the money paid be refunded.Business Response The window in question was OK after the installation. Our warranty does not cover building settlement or other causes. The crack in question is in the upper corner of the window about 1" from the corner and runs about 1" corner to corner. The glass is laminated glass and this very small crack does not represent a safety issue. Therefore we will not replace this window. The customer has not paid the invoice in full. He has withheld 1/2 of the price. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have paid the invoice in full. I replaced the window because it had a crack in it. Why would I or should I accept a brand new replacement window with a crack in it??? They have not been accomodating at all and don't live up to their warranty. I don't care about a safety issue, I want a window without a crack in it, period!!!!Final Business Response I have responded to this customer several times. We will not do business with him any longer. We completed the job and have been paid. We do not want to anything more to do with him.

Job is unfinished. I am owed four (4) china cabinet door pulls since 4/15 and still not received.4/15 ordered above noted glass doors and a display tabletop. Paid half of total $560.89.4/30 two doors and tabletop glass returned, final payment made. Second set of doors did not fit.Over the next two weeks, the second set of doors were redone twice before a fifth visit resulted in the doors fitting correctly. However, the company could not replace the original doors with the etched groove in the glass and were to provide door pulls (an accessory needed to be able to easily move the doors open and closed). There have been ensuing emails, mostly confrontational from the company regarding this but still no door pulls. They even sent a website via their last representative because they could not find the pulls I was to find what I was requesting. I did, they ignored it, expecting me to provide them myself when this was to be part of the original order since they could not provide the etched glass.Desired SettlementI have provided them with the information needed to give me the door pulls needed to finalize the original replacement contract. They have ignored this. I want a letter of apology, the door pulls, and a $50.00 refund for my aggravation and the inconvenience caused to me.Business Response Original contract does not specify what type of pulls where to be supplied. We supplied the pulls we stock. She requested something different. We agreed to supply pulls, but these pulls are special order. We have them on order through our supplier. As soon as they arrive we will install. We are doing all of this extra at no additional charge.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The flat metal-looking plastic pieces left to be affixed to the doors with sticky backs are not configured to be pulled. At the second visit, when these were left and the second set of glass doors were found to be incorrect, I requested actual pulls that that representative appeared to originally not know what I was talking about but would see if these were available. At the third visit, where the second set of doors were found to still not be correct, that employee had no idea what I was asking about. At the fourth visit, where the employee inserted the doors(though they still did not work correctly) inquiry was again made about the pulls. Again, no response was forthcoming. At the fifth and final visit, the employee brought with him a piece of paper from the franchise owner with the information about looking online with this supplier for what I was talking about. The items were found both there and online with[redacted]'s and the company was notified. Today, June 10th, 2014 the pulls are finally supposed to be provided around noon (it is now 12:30). No mention is made of the emails refuting my claim that they were to provide pulls and unpleasantly responding with the slant that I was expecting an awful lot for my $522.78. No mention was made of the inconvenience and delays in finishing a job started on April 15th, 2014, and paid in full on April 30th, 2014 or my request for compensation. Final Business Response Work has been completed. We supplied the handles the customers requested and installed them 2 weeks ago.
