Home window exterior glaze bead replacment exceptionally poor workmanship and failed to complete job.
Some of my windows on my home had exterior glazing bead that needed replacement. Took a day off of work to be home when they were scheduled to complete the work. The worker was only on site for 2 hours and then left without notice leaving most of the work incomplete, not to mention what was done was of extremely poor quality. They came back a second time and made it worse still not completing the work. Had their quality inspector come out to take a look at the work who agreed the work was sub-par. Instead of fixing the problem, or proposing a solution, they tried to issue me a refund of my deposit. Bottom line, I'm left off much worse off with my glazing than before I hired these guys. Wish I had never called them. Horrendous workmanship, terrible service.

Desired Outcome

Redo and fix exceptionally poor workmanship on replacement glaze beading.

We have tried to resolve it with the customer, and he was wanting his glazing to be perfect, and we tired our best installing after market glazing. He was on several occasions stating that the glazing only cost us $100 at most cost and that the labor was only a few hundred dollars on top of that at most. So we came to the conclusion that we were at an impasse with this customer who after paying $150 deposit on a $700 ticket (should have been $350 deposit for the 50%). Again we tried but with his understanding of what it should have cost him and what we tried to do, we were not getting anywhere with this customer. So to make it right we issued him a full refund and apologized for the glazing replacement not being up to his standards.

Not true, they haven't tried at all to resolve the issue. Not to this day has anyone followed up after the quality inspector left to try and work out a solution. It's been well over a month. Less than half of the glazing was replaced and not one of the four windows is the work complete. My standards? Even the quality inspector they sent out said the workmanship was sub-par and not acceptable. All I asked was that they fix part of the partial repair work that was of obvious exceptionally poor workmanship and we could go our separate ways. The parts that their own quality inspector agreed were poor. In the beginning, I was more than willing to pay the full amount assuming the job would be completed. I'm worse off now than had I never contacted them. I could have caulked in the areas that needed repair and it would have been better than the work they did. Just to demonstrate the false statements they make in their response, I've attached a copy of the refund check. The deposit wasn't $150 as they stated. You cannot trust this company at all even to the level of being honest about the deposit amount. They have wasted my time, taking off work, and now have glazing that is not complete and worse than before they started. This should be a warning to other potential customers. Beware.

We really strive for customer service, in your review you state that we had a quality inspector come look and we offered you a refund. We want our customers happy and given everything we tried to make the work satisfactory, we felt we were at an impasse. We have attached some pictures of the work completed. We truly are a service company that happens to sell glass and will continue to strive for excellence all around. I am sorry you were not satisfied, but thank you for listing all the ways we truly tried to make it right.

If this how one strives for customer service, you have a lot to learn. Nevertheless, thank you for confirming your quality inspector came out and that you refused to fix a few areas that he identified as poor workmanship. Thank you also for submitting the photos although you only show 3 of the 4 windows that were partially re-glazed. The one window you left out wasn't worked on at all - thankfully. On the oval window, your tech only replaced 1 out of 12 of the glaze strips. On the other two arched windows there are several glaze strips that weren't replaced as well. On those windows, there are 3 areas where the tech pushed in some other plastic material (not the same as the rest of the glazing) that isn't even secured in place (there are huge gaps between whatever it is and the window pane). There are also multiple areas where the replaced glazing is not shaped to the frame. This is just basic workmanship that your tech couldn't right. He tried to mask over his poor workmanship by filling in the large gaps with caulking. It's almost comical. His effort was so poor, he couldn't even finish covering up his mistakes with caulking. See the attached photos. Obviously, you're not interested in making this right and at this point I don't think you can. Since you continue to cover, deny, and make false statements, you certainly can't be trusted. I just hope other consumers read this post on the Revdex.com before hiring your business so they don't end up worse off like me.

Sir, you are obviously going to do what you can to prove your point and blast us. So, in a perfect world what do you want? What is going to make you happy other than trying to run our name through the mud. We are a family ran business who wants our customers happy, but not sure we can do that with you. We are willing to meet in the middle somewhere, but would appreciate it if you would help us come up with solutions instead of trying to attack our business. We have families of our employees to feed and we have had a perfect reputation until trying to do business with you.
Our offer at this point would be for you to try to find another local glass company that would do the work for you at market value and provide us with a written estimate, we can then come to an agreement as to the percentages we can both pay. We are trying to work with you, but stop with the name calling and smear campaign.

What part of "All I asked was that they fix part of the partial repair work that was of obvious exceptionally poor workmanship and we could go our separate ways. The parts that their own quality inspector agreed were poor" in my previous response was hard for you to understand? You are dragging your own name through the mud with the obvious shoddy workmanship. Have you even looked at the photos I uploaded? Obviously not. I have an obligation to others to warn them about your horrible service and poor workmanship so they don't end up like I have. I wish someone would have done the same for me. Secondly, stop with the constant lying. There has been no name calling on my part and you have not at all tried to make it right. You continue to deny and deflect and reinforce that you cannot be trusted to act honorably and honestly. Good riddance!
