RE: Lease Renewal

Dear Mr. P.,

I live with my wife and our two children at "Tanglewood Townhomes", your property in Bentonville, Arkansas. Presently, my wife and I are experiencing difficulties with renewing our lease and we are hoping that you, or someone in your employ, can assist us in the resolution.

At present, my wife and I receive housing assistance from Siloam Springs Housing Authority and, recently, a representative from their office informed us that your company, Trinity Multifamily, had requested a rental increase of $725.00 per month and would not accept their offer of $610.00 per month. Unfortunately, if this situation persists, my family and I would be forced to move, which would be a hardship at this time. After serving for over a decade in the real estate business, I am certain that you understand how expensive it is for the average family to move, and we simply do not have the resources necessary to relocate on such short notice.

The slogan on your company vans say, "Big enough to understand. Small enough to care." and, in the spirit of this slogan, my wife and I are appealing to you to please reconsider your position for one more year, at the very least. Upon further inquiry into our situation, you will learn that we have lived at Tanglewood Townhomes for over six years and have never been late in paying our rent and utilities. Also, as long-term tenants, we have never caused any disruptions or disturbances for management, or our community. In addition to all this, we take pride in our home, maintaining it in excellent condition, and promptly alerting management to any issues that require maintenance or repair.

Lastly, I understand from your web-site that you are a businessman, and that your objective, as a company, is to obtain market value for all of your properties. However, there are exceptions to every rule, and your reconsideration of the housing authority's offer would afford my wife and I the opportunity to acquire
the proceeds needed for our next move. Please feel free to contact me
if you need any additional information. Anything that you can do to assist us in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

D. and L. F.

I was without a/c for 5 days and I have 2 kids a 3 and 9 year old and it was from July 20th - 25th 2016 it was the hottest week of the year and they had to replace the whole unit but in the mean time of them trying to have their maintenance guys figure out what is wrong with it we stayed there 2 nights with fans but it was just too much so I had to take my kids to a hotel and buy food and my kids ended up one with a heat rash and the other has asthma and their dr said it was from the heat so I made sure to get a hotel right down the road so if they needed me it wouldnt be hard to get there and now they expect me to pay my full rent and act like this never happened, I really hope this doesnt happen to anyone else it was the worse experience ever for my kids and I

Business has conducted itself unprofessionally with missed appointments, rude comments, wrong sized windows, and inferior installation of windows.Windows ordered approximately Jan. 9th, 2014, was told 4 weeks. We stopped by to check on windows on approx. 2/8. Employee had no idea which company they'd been ordered from, or when they'd be in "He'd call us back within the hour to let us know." Hours later, we call...to find out that the company that they'd ordered from was not open on Fridays so we'd know more on Monday. We eventually "got windows in"; set a date for installation. We made arrangements for someone to be here...they did not show. Did not call. We had to call them. They said...We cannot do them today. So, we rescheduled for Friday. However, a severe wind/rain storm was due on Friday so we called to reschedule for Thursday...They said (again) they'd be here from 8-8:30...My husband stayed out of work to be here. After having to call THEM again, and again, they show up around 1:30. They ripped our old windows out and sanded down new windows only to realize that the new windows were too big. Instead of waiting to reorder correct sized windows, they proceed to start cutting and ripping at our window frame to make it fit. When they left on Thursday they had covered the inside of our house with sheetrock dust, "tacked the new windows into the hole they'd created" with gaps on either side of windows, and left a mess in our yard. Friday morningthey were supposed to be out FIRST THING since we were expecting the bad weather. They arrived after 10 am knowing the storm was due at 11:00. They sent 1 man. The previous day, two men were there and they almost dropped the new windows through from outside into my living room floor. My husband ended up having to go out and help him. The storm came. The man left to get plastic (because I insisted). After placing the plastic, the service man left. We called the owner. He said they'd be back at 2. They never showed. We called and it went to voice mail at 3:30ish in the afternoon. We complained to the corporate office that answered. The owner called back and said he would personally be here today (Monday) to handle it personally. He lied. He again sent the serviceman who had already told us he was not a carpenter and [redacted] (the owner) needed to be there to help. The service man began to cut again at the sheet rock and when finished was clearing it up. He began to vacuum with a shop vac. As he sucked inthe shop vac spewed out the dust from the back filling my room with a HUGE cloud of dust. I called to get his attention...I told him what was happening and offered to use our own vacuum cleaner. He slammed the shop vac off, started picking up his things, stormed out of the house, packed his van up and when I asked what he was doing he said, "I'm going to get [redacted], I don't have the tools etc". He goes back to his shop and tells his boss I was "irate" and "hollering"... The boss called my husband and told him to tell me to shut up and stop hollering at his man and let him do his job. That his man doesn't even want to come back to the house and that he was tempted to just drop the remaining windows off at house and be done with it. The service man returned in afternoon and began to trim in the windows from inside. I explained that I had not hollered at him and he said it was not me that he had told his boss that he needed new shop vac months ago and it took this to get a different one. He left today without finishing the job again. Our vinyl siding will not fit properly at this point, the trim work inside is not professional and they have chipped/cracked our sheetrock in the house. Our custom made window seat has been scratched and we are concerned that the work they do will allow leaking during rain. The owner has been rude, uncooperative and has been completely unprofessional. We are tired of the run around. We just wanted new windows installed. If they'd have ordered correct windows it wouldn't have been a big deal, but now we have to pay for their mistake with a total of 3 missed days of work so far, aggravation, loss of heat.Desired SettlementWe just want a quality, professional job done in an efficient manner. At this point we are concerned about allowing them to do our other windows...we are afraid they will do a shoddy job out of spite for complaining. We really would appreciate your assistance. We cannot afford to miss any more work; yet we do not trust them to do the job without making sure they caulk the nails they've driven into our walls outside in our vinyl or to put insulation into the holes that remain on the sides of our windows. We are at a loss of what to do. They continue to threaten to just "stop" the job and drop our windows off. We've already paid him $1100.00...and we cannot afford for him to fail to complete his job as promised.Business Response Hello,Glass Doctor of southern pines was hired to install 8 vinyl windows. Ms.[redacted] came by to pay a half down payment when she paid the order was placed! Vinyl windows can take up to a month and a half before we recive them Ms.[redacted] was made aware of that. A month from the day that she paid her hallf down payment her and her husband came in the office and flipped out on me because the windows was not in yet.The windows came in about a week later and I called Ms.[redacted] to ger her on sched we went out completed one window and while our tech was working see took pics of the unfinished product and emaild them to our corp office and you guys. That window was finnished and looked GREAT and I have pics! Then our tech went back out to install the second set and finished and it also looked greeat, then when it was time to pay Mr.[redacted] PULLED A GUN on our tech and said he was not paying and for us to leave, the cops came out made him pay half of what was owed because the windows needed metal wraped around them which we hired a guy to complet. And needless to say the work was completed and he still has not paid us the blance that he ows so we have a lean on his house and this matter will be settled in court, becaues he has failed to pay after work has been completed! Consumer Response To whom it may concern:In response to our complaint, the Glass Doctor revealed once again how unprofessional they are. Not only was their response unprofessional in its appearance, but also untruthful as witnesses and police reports will indicate (NO GUN was pulled or threatened to be pulledanother total fabrication). We have contacted an attorney and will be pursuing this in the court system. The work that was performed by the Glass Doctor has been deemed improper by at least 4 different contractors brought in for estimates. To repair their work will cost upwards to $3,000.00. Damage was done both inside to sheet rock and paint (not to mention my custom made window seat), outside to siding and trim, internally with support beams etc removed, and to top it off, there are currently huge cracks between both of the two sets of vinyl windows they installed that allows us a glorious view of our front and back lawns (BETWEEN THE WINDOWS)! Please avoid this company if any type of carpentry work may be needed. They were wonderful when they performed work they were qualified to do (replace glass panes)...for window replacementhire a professional...well, at this point, in my opinion, I'd avoid them period.

The technician dropped a replacement windshield on our van and dented the hood and fender on the driver's side. He also cut the dash board in 2 places. He then brought my wife to the passenger side of the car to show her the new windshield installation and did not walk her around the van to fill out a checklist verifying that no damage occurred during the installation of the windshield. When we approached the manager, he agreed to contact 'his guy' in [redacted] county to fix the van. He then recanted his statement and decided that he would not pay to fix the van.Product_Or_Service: windshield for vanOrder_Number: unknownAccount_Number: unknownDesired Settlementpay for the cost to fix the hoodBusiness Response Service check list with dent noted sent to Revdex.com>Consumer Response The form clearly describes PRE-existing conditions and does not address post-installation conditions. The driver's side fender referenced in the form is the back driver's side fender which was damaged by a family member approximately 1 year ago. The company did not utilize it's own numbering system to represent which particular fender was damaged and it also did not note the dent in the hood. The reason these were not noted, is because they were not PRE-existing. They occurred as a result of the installation as did the 2 cuts on our van's dashboard.Received Final Response from Business 2014-04-17The van had a dent in it before work was ever started wife singned pre check list that dent was there which freed my company from the lability of the damage that was on van.Final Consumer Response The technician did not provide the pre-existing conditions form for signature until after installation of the windshield which allowed him to write any damage that he created prior to the form being signed.Final Business Response Hello, My name is [redacted] and I am the sales representative at Glass Doctor in Southern Pines NC. I would like to start off by informing you that Glass Doctor has procedures that each and every technician has to follow! When my technicians go out to install any part on a car they have a sheet that is called a pre-existing check list sheet. In this case my technician informed Ms. [redacted] that she had a dent in her finder well and he wrote it up and Ms. [redacted] signed the sheet and I have it on file in my office. After Ms. [redacted] came to my office I ask her nicely to pull out her paper work that my technician gave her and she did. When we compared paper work her paper work said the same thing mine did, dent in finder well and had her signature. At that time I said Ms. [redacted] I am showing that he made you aware that the dent was already there and you signed it. At this point in time she got very upset and we like to make all of our costumers happy so we told her that we had a guy that does all of our body work and that is really good and we would pay for it to be fixed just to keep her happy and keep a good name in town. Well needless to say they called insurance and got them involved and had lied to insurance about us, and also Ms. [redacted] came back and said I will go to three shops and choose who I want and you need to provide me a rental car. Keep in mind we have signed paper work that says the dent was already there so really we where not responsible for fixing her car we was just doing it to keep a good name and make her happy. Now after she called insurance they called me I sent them the signed paper work and they denied he request for us to be responsible for fixing her car. At this time they got on Facebook and told all kinds of lies on our company saying that we drove her van and had a wreck in it! That isn't possible because we never even moved her car. So then after they told all kinds of lies on our company and slandered our name we told them that we would not fix there van because we where not responsible in the first place, and that we was not going to be nice when they contacted insurance, the Revdex.com, A-list, and wrote all kinds of lies on our company online. To conclude they have been denied in every direction they turn because we have the facts and the paperwork where Ms. [redacted] was made aware that she already had a dent in he finder well before we ever started the job! If you have any questions about this feel free to call me at (XXX)XXX-XXXX.
