Glass King, Inc.

Review: On 3/3/16, an employee of Glass King visited with me at my Price Rd condo. I had two broken windows that needed repair. Both of the windows were double-paned with muntins or grids between the panes. One of the windows was upstairs and faced west, so I asked for the "low-E" glass to be installed, which cost $50.00 additional, according to the employee. The downstairs window, however, faced north, and did not receive direct sunlight, so I told the employee I did NOT need the "low-E" glass; the clear glass would be sufficient. It was assumed by me that the muntins or grids would remain in the windows since there was no discussion about these. EVERY window in my condo; indeed EVERY window in my entire condo complex has muntins or grids. In fact, my HOA REQUIRES that all windows have muntins or grids.

I am the owner/landlord of this property. My tenants (husband & wife) were present during my conversation with the Glass King employee. They both agree that muntins or grids were NEVER mentioned.

On 3/15/16, both new windows were installed. I became aware the following day that the downstairs window was installed WITHOUT the muntins or grids. It clearly looks out of place alongside the other windows.

On 3/16/16, I called Glass King and spoke to "Matt." He put the installer on the phone line (name unknown). The installer told me it was his understanding that "clear" meant I did NOT want the muntins re-installed. I explained that was NOT the case; all the windows have muntins and I DID want them installed. We agreed that we had a misunderstanding. He said he would have the Owner call me back.

I waited till March 21 (5 days) and since I had received NO CALL from the owner, I called Glass King again. I was told the owner's name was "Jay" and he would be calling me shortly.

I waited four more days till March 25 and called Glass King yet again. I asked to speak to Jay and was told he would call me shortly. He did NOT.Desired Settlement: I have called Glass King 3 times over a period of two weeks to resolve this problem. The owner refuses to call me back for some unknown reason. I can only assume he has no desire to deal with me.

Very simply, I want the muntins or grids that are supposed to be in my window replaced. The installer did NOT make it clear that he did not intend to re-install the muntins. As a customer, I should be able to assume that a broken window with muntins will be replaced by a new window with muntins. This was NOT mentioned by the installer, as witnessed by my tenants. Because ALL my windows have muntins, it would make NO SENSE for me to install a new window without muntins.

This should be a simple remedy, but the owner of Glass King will not call me to discuss the situation.
