I did not reply immediately to Mrs***’s Revdex.com complaint as most people who really care contact usThey don’t post allegations before getting a formal responseToo often these days, people jump directly to social media to complainUpon getting the complaint we needed to interview our session
manager and employeesIt became very apparent Mrs*** had issues with just about everyone and wasn’t a pleasant customer to deal withMrs*** became confrontational with my session manager, who instructed Mrs*** to contact the asstGM during our office hours during the weekdaysMrs*** demanded the phone number (home or cell) and the session manager informed her those are personal numbers and cannot be shared. Most people with a complaint will call you on the phone, write you an email or show up in person to make a complaint or get a resolution A lot of what has been alleged by Mrs*** is exaggerated or falseShe said she contacted us twice before filing her Revdex.com complaintHer contact #was with the session manager who she had a problem with Her #contact was with an answering machine during off hoursThen she made the complaint with the Revdex.com without ever really talking to any upper management after her initial contact with the session managerTypically, one would try to work something out with the general manager or owner, this was never doneLater in the week, she called and was extremely rude to my assistant managerDuring my investigation, I did find from reliable sources that she is a very aggressive and “rude”. This became apparent when I talked to the manager on duty, the Assistant General Manager, her previous skating coach, and the employees who have dealt with her. On this Saturday January 6th, we had large holiday weekend attendance with a lot of customersAnywhere you go during the holidays, it’s generally crowded with longer lines and it will take longer to make food in the snack barIt’s hard to gauge how many people might show up during holiday weeks, but we do our bestThe bathrooms are cleaned between sessions and after sessionsHowever, during sessions we try to keep them clean and restocked with toilet paper especially if notified by a customer.The skating floor is inspected for gum and debris before every session and as our speed team was practicing, just before that session and it was mopped and inspected to their high standards.The drinking fountain was clogged that night as someone had spit gum into the drainDrinking water and cups were available at the snack bar, but Mrs*** demanded we give her large cups instead of the small drinking cups we provided.As I said most of what she said was exaggerated and was a vendetta when she could not use her $bill to payShe made a scene at the cashier booth and then tried to use the bill later but was also refused againWe’ve had a lot of problems with counterfeit bills so we take nothing more than $20.The coupon (*** *** ***) she purchased was for people not people as she stated.We disinfect spray when customers are not around the skate rack as some people have complained that they did not want to breathe the vapors from the disinfect sprayI don’t blame them.She complained about skate maintenance, but that is ongoing, every session, and other times they do maintenance Every skate rack employee has a list of skates they help maintain. The Skate Mate she rented, included a receipt to get her deposit backOnly the person who had the receipt, gets the deposit backWe write the skate mate’s number on the receipt so customers can identify their rentalOften kids leave the skate mate unattended and other kids take itAt the end of session, if the skate mate was returned, and you provide your receipt, you would be given your deposit backThis can even be done days later with your receipt. During the same weekend Sunrise received and star reviews on ***If we were truly that bad I would have had more or star reviews, there were none of thoseWe have had no Revdex.com complaints that I can find since we opened in 1974. In the past we’ve had people review us negatively who indicated if they were compensated, they would remove the reviewI don’t play that game and have informed rating companies of this extortionI will work with legitimate claims and generally if people are friendly, so are weBut when customers degrade my employees, talk down to them, and generally harass them…and that is not acceptable.Once again, she should have contacted us correctly. *** ***General ManagerSunrise Rollerland
