In reference to the letter ID # *** that was received.
To respond to the complaint of the listed reference number above, I would like to start off by saying that we apologize that we were not able to accommodate the needs of those particular guests.
However, in our defense, I would also like to include the fact that we are a small business and as a small
business we reserve the right to close early if we so chooseWe cannot afford to pay our employees to
stand around without any customers all day especially our wait and bar staff who of which works for
tipsThis incident also occurred on our transition to our off season, which means we are short staffed
and opened only days a weekFederal law also states that we can only work our employees for (x)
amount of hours and we are running them on long hourshours on shift with one customer (maybe)
is not enough income to keep my business doors open and my staff happily paid although that one
customer would have saved us the time of typing this letter.
We uphold a very well respected and achieve the highest standards for our establishment and since our employees our "questionable" to quote the gentleman's words, I'm very grateful they did not pollute themselves with the food prepared by our "questionable" employeesThey never spoke with any of the owners of the establishment or managers, so that was a great example of negligence on their partIf they had spoke with the owners or even a manager, they would have resolved the situation to the best of their abilities to make sure their guests were satisfied with the results.
If the complainants would have addressed the situation of the refund they wished to receive we would have been more than happy to appease their request without the aid of the Revdex.com or their credit card company.
We will in the future make sure to uphold our hours that our signage posts so this incident does not arise again.

I am rejecting this response because: The respondent appears to be covering his tracksThe "staff" are the agents of the ownerWhen we checked in we were told by "staff" that the restaurant would be taking dinner orders until 7:PM. We were told later, by three separate staff members, that the "owner" decided to close the restaurant early and that our only option was to travel ten or twelve miles to another restaurantWe were not informed previously of any "transition period"The establishment was more than ready to accept our credit card earlier over the phoneThe "staff" offered us no other options, other than a twenty mile plus round trip via unlit mountain curves, which reflects poorly on management training, advertising issues and customer care
