Response: Hi there - We appreciate you taking the time to contact usYou wrote asking why we only accept credit card payments now, and we'll gladly share our reasons and experienceThe first being the safety of our team and customersBefore we switched to credit card only, we used to regularly have aggressive and violent people come in, trying to scam cash from the cash drawerThese scam artists were very antagonistic and threatened to come back and retaliate when we politely asked them to leaveWe're trying to create a safe and welcoming environment for people to enjoy our home cookingThere were too many situations where we've had to call the police in scenarios that got very scary for everyone in our restaurantThe safety of our team and customers is our first priority, and we will take all necessary precautionsHopefully, you'll never come across characters like this! Secondly, theft is unfortunately a major part of the hospitality industryOne can put all types of checks and balances in place but there are some bad eggs that always find cash to be too temptingWe're a small family-owned restaurant and this kind of theft can be a detrimental setbackThe third reason is to serve our customers betterWe are always thinking of how we can minimize the time that you spend transacting and waiting so that you can focus on why you really came, which is to rest and enjoy delicious food with your family and friendsRegarding credit card fraud, our security systems are very tight, and your credit card information is NEVER stored on our systemsYour credit card also never leaves your sight at our counterIf we had to refund you for some reason, the refund is done based on transaction number, last name, and only the last digits of your ccWe couldn't access any other information even if we needed to, which is done intentionally to protect our customersWe sincerely apologize if you felt like we were brushing off your questionThat is never our intention and we strive everyday to be as gracious as possibleWe live to serve our customers and consider it a blessing that we are able to do something that we feel so passionate about everydaySeeing you, our customer, respond happily to our labor of love is truly one of our greatest joysWe will remind our team daily about what true hospitality meansRegarding your last question, this is a legal practiceWe understand if you don't agree with it and respect your opinion, but hopefully you will be able to understand our perspective on why this was a necessary move even though it costs us significantly more to do things this waySending you warm wishesHope to see you again soon [redacted] **
