I enrolled at Glendale Community College Fall of I was approved for financial aid and went through an enrollment process to receive my financial aid for 2013-Whom my enrollment officer guaranteed I would be reimbursed for my tuition and books by the middle of the fall semesterI was instructed to get transcripts from various Maricopa community college schools I have attended in the past in order to receive the financial aidEvery week, after requesting the transcripts from each school I have been given inaccurate information from each employee in the financial aid department concerning which transcripts were received and which transcripts I still neededI even had the supervisor in the financial aid department tell me they were sorry but, transcripts I have sent to the enrollment office were lost or misplaced or damagedIn which case my financial aid was halted due to non entry of the necessary documents I needed to retrieve my federal school loansEven though these mistakes were not my fault I was penalized by having to utilize more time to contact the schools up to three times to have the transcripts recent so GCC can implement the transcripts into my file so I can get my school grants and loan
It is now February of 2014, and I have not received my promised federal aid for the fall of Not only did the financial aid department lie to me, by telling me I would get my federal aid in monthsThe employees of the financial aid department, also, were very incompetent in handling my transcripts which prolonged me from receiving the aid I needed to pay the remainder of the tuition
I cannot change schools because they have a balance that I owe the cashiers for classes and books to the school, holding my official transcripts so I cannot attend another schoolAnd continuing to give me incompetent information regarding which transcripts they have received and which transcripts they don't have each time I call them, to straighten this out
They have lost transcripts I have sent from other schools to complete my enrollment process and now are making me suffer for their negligence with my transcripts
They promised I would get my financial aid check to pay for school last semester and still are not delivering months laterI am appalled that a school would be so careless with a students education and have given me nothing but an apologyAs it still stands I cannot change schools because of their hold they have on releasing my transcripts from last semester
