Glendale Heating is refunding the cost of the oil we delivered in the interest of customer relations, because our reputation in the industry is excellent and we want to keep it that wayWe would like to continue our relationship with Ms*** and regret that she was left with a less than positive experience

I am rejecting this response because:I did not authorize the replacement of the pulley and was initially told the visit was warranty workI was surprised to get a call from collections for warranty work, but I paid the bill for repair minus the $truck fee, as I felt a professional should have resolved this issue on the first visit.The pulley fell off within 15mins of the first use after the repairI called and requested warranty work for the unauthorized but paid for repairThe technician refused to warranty his work and reattach the newly installed pulley unless the additional $plus work was agreed uponThe technician stated that they were very busy and the repair, if we were to proceed with the rebuild, would take a couple of weeks, much longer than typicalThe phone call on March was in response to a billing error that failed account for the agreed upon waived truck feeThe remainder of that bill was settled prior to the incident on February 23.

We went out to repair oil lines on November 20, 2017 and during that repair the technician re-attached the pulley wheel on the blower motor, but mentioned to the owner that it may not last and that the pulley needs to be replaced. We were called back out on January 30, 2018 that the pulley wheel had...

come off again. The same technician was dispatched and he replaced the pulley remembering that he had explained it to the owner the last time he was there (the owner left the house unlocked for us to access, he did not meet us at this visit). We then called the homeowner after the repair to collect for the pulley replacement. He called us back on February 23, 2018 to say that the pulley wheel had fallen off again, and the dispatcher scheduled for a return visit and Ed asked to be called first regarding any charges because he was going to leave the house unlocked again. Our tech asked the office to call and let him know that if the pulley wasn't staying on it may be the blower shaft in which case we pull the blower replace the shaft and bearings, remount the pulley and reinstall the blower - it is not a couple weeks to do that, usually same day - and the cost can be up to $500. When we called to inform him we did not refuse to come out, merely advised him. He told the office that he did not want us to come out, but that he would try to tighten the set screw and see if that fixed it. We did not hear back until March 30, 2018 when he called to ask for a partial refund on the repair from February 23. We refunded $90 + sales tax from that visit.
