Review: Had a problem with regulating air conditioner temperature on unit installed by [redacted]-air. [redacted], owner stated a coolant return valve was installed improperly (by [redacted]-air) and had to be replaced, this was done on mid May of this year. 2 months later noticed a soft spot on bathroom floor. Bathroom is adjacent to the furnace. A friend went under my mobile home and said the condensation line was not connected. The insulation was soaking wet as was the dirt beneath my home. [redacted] and his son came over, [redacted] went under the house to connect the line and left his son to pull the layers of tape on the panel over the coil. I do not know what the son did behind the panel. I asked [redacted] about the bathroom floor and he brought this man over and their solution was to cut holes in the floor to dry it out. Then, they would cut a portion of the floor out and replace it with plywood and "try" to find floor tile to match. Needless to say I refused this offer. I called [redacted], Heating and Air for an inspection. He removed the panel over the coil and discovered the condisate line was kinked. The line is a rubber hose, not a rigid L shaped line. There is also a secondary drainage hole, but no condisate line is attached to it. He recommended reinstalling the evaporator coil after the bathroom floor is replaced. Also replace evaporator access doors and replace damaged ductwork. [redacted]'s estimate was $4111. Contacted [redacted] about the floor and was given an estimate of $1235 for subflooring and vinyl for 6'x6' floor and for removing and reconnecting the toilet.Desired Settlement: On 7/31/13 I filed a complaint with the Contractor's License Board. This is my second complaint, the first complaint was filed 3/28/12 for shoddy workmanship. I would like [redacted]-air to pay for all the needed repairs to the furnace/air conditioner/blower unit and to pay for the bathroom subflooring.
